What places give out free filtered ice water in the parks ?

What places or quick service areas in the parks can we get good tasting filtered ice water ? I know last time we went, we asked for a glass of ice water at Aloha Isle and it tasted terrible. We spit it out because it tasted so bad !

You will probably have better luck at the CS restaurants than the snack stands.

Last time I went it was very hot and they were giving out free water almost everywhere. Just little 6 oz cups but it did help. You can always bring your own water bottle and freeze half of it the night before so it lasts longer

You can get water almost anywhere, but I am afraid the taste will be the same everywhere, too. That's Florida water for you. I'm a tap water fan in general, but I splurge on bottled in Florida because I don't like the taste.

no the OP is right some places taste much better than others! DD knows the places where the water tastes 'metallic' and we avoid those.

I have found the counter service places have better tasting water than the smaller places, that being said it's Florida water and the only way to avoid the taste is to buy bottled water.

Another option is to just get ice and let it melt (which happens quickly in the summer). For some reason, it doesn't taste as horrible as the water. There are also some locations that have this crushed ice that is pressed into pellets that breaks up easily when you chomp on it. It's sort of like a snow cone in pellet form.

I can't remember if Aloha Isle has fountain beverages or not, or if they only sell bottled sodas. If they doidn't have fountain beverage service, you probably got tap water (not good!).

I have always thought the cups of ice water (from soda fountains) taste just fine. But I don't like the tap water, either.

If you don't like the taste of the water from the counter services, you may be restricted to bottled water. The counter service water is filtered but apparently not to the same degree as bottled water. You should probably stick to counter service restaurants that serve fountain soda.

They do have a fountain because they serve floats.

But I second the Brita bottles. So much easier just filling them up and slowly drinking as you go.

My kids swear by these types of water bottles. They use them at school for the same reason. They fill from the tap and they say the filter in the water bottle makes whatever water they have to drink bearable.

I brought a 32oz bottle with last time and filled up at CS filling stations and the hotel. AFAIK all of the water spouts that are in the 'soda bank' run through the same filters as the water used for the soda mixing.

I take a Brita bottle, but when we eat at CS I always ask for a cup of water also.
So far all have been good tasting.

When we went in June, outside of BOG they had a pitcher of ice water with slices of lemon in it and plastic cups and people were told to help themselves.

We used camelback and brita bottles in 2011 and 2013 and they worked great. A carabiner was the solution to keeping it handy on our stroller.
