What percentage of DVC Aulani is sold?

We’re assuming Disney isn’t making money because the resort isn’t sold out. I think they’re doing a huge business in cash rooms that more than compensates.

I don’t see Disney ever selling. First, they’re making money. Second, the avalanche of ill will it would create surrounding the entire DVC product just wouldn’t be worth it to them, especially as they seem to be creating additional new product to sell.

I’d be curious to know how the ownership deeds reflect a “change in ownership/management” for the resorts….

I would hope the buyer would buy us all out and I wouldn’t have to worry about trying to sell a share in a less lucrative property.

Agreed. They are still making a killing off the Aulani. I do wonder if Iger or his second successor will pursue more off theme park DVC.

I doubt it but if they did it’ll look a lot more like Aulani and a lot less like VB and HH. Keep in mind Disney had options to build a few more DVcs off property and waited a long time before trying that again.

Having the hotel component helps soften the blow in a big way. I’d imagine a joint hotel and DVC. But where they’d do it is harder to picture.

Maybe Lake Tahoe? Somewhere in the mountains of Georgia/North Carolina/Virginia? Key West? Colorado (which they considered and sold the land years ago…) It’s tough for me to picture what it would look like to be honest.

Big Sky Montana would a sweet place for a DVC ski and summer resort but I wouldn’t want Montana to become more popular than it has become.

I don't watch that show. I loved Montana after I visited Yellowstone. I flew into Bozeman and stayed in Gardiner. Bozeman Airport is my airport since it looks like a lodge.
