What parks would you recommend for my DD 2yo? We will be there for 1 week. MK is a given , but what else? I've heard Animal Kingdom would be a good place. What is the Islands of Adventure?:)

My 2.5 yr old son loves

Magic Kingdom- Obviously the rides, characters, and food

EPCOT- Painting at the "Kid Stops" in all of the countries, the fountains, and The Living Seas

MGM- Bear Show, Beauty and the Beast, and Hunchback (All kids know the songs in these shows)

Animal Kingdom- The Boneyard, The Safari, and "Rafiki's House" with the petting zoo (not sure what it is called)

It all depends on the kid, but they will find things they like at every park

I'll be travelling with a 2 year old in September. As far as Islands of Adventure, I think most of the attractions (with the exception of the Dr. Suess part) are geared toward a slightly older child, so you are probably better off sticking with WDW.

Take the trip at your child's pace and all parks will be enjoyable.

It really depends on your child. We went to WDW when our DD was 2 1/2 and she had a great time at all 4 WDW parks. The only place she got bored at was Disney Quest but I figured she would but it was a must do on our DS's list.
This yr we went to US/IOA/SW and she loved at 3 as well. Out side of WDW I would reccomend Sea world first for young children.
If I had to riank the parks at WDW in the order that she enjoyed them it would be ahrd to do. AT US/IOA I was suprised that she like IOA much better than US.

Obviously MK would be the #1 choice. On the other hand you could consider Universal (haven't tried Islands).

Last year we took our then 4 and 1 yo dd's to Universal and were pleasantly surprised at how much our dd's enjoyed the place. Probably 75% of the rides at Universal wouldn't be targeted to your 2 yo. However, the area that does target kids has hours of entertainment that could easily fill the day.

Some of the rides and shows have an interactive exit area, where you could spend a lot of time.

There is a Curious George themed spash water park (bring a swim suit or change of clothes). And a Fievel Play ground.

:) :)

IMHO. AK was just okay for a toddler. Your DD won't be able to experience the major rides. When we took our older DD when she was 3. It was very crowded. Since we couldn't go on things like the Dinosaur Ride or the Raft Ride, AK experience was like going to a nice but very expensive zoo. There were a couple of things like the live show that makes it unique but we will be skipping AK for a few years.

:) :)
