What park would you skip?

I need to get park tickets for DS and he will be missing one park. My sister is taking him to Universal for the day. While my niece and I will stay at Disney and go to a park.

Which one do you think a 14 year old boy would like to miss? I am thinking Animal Kingdom.

I'd say Animal Kingdom too. When we went, that's the only park we skipped. We're just not big "animal" people so spending a day in an animal themed park wasn't our thing...

I agree, my DS is 14 and that is his least favorite park.

Animal Kingdom gets my vote too. We are doing 3 park days on our September trip and AK is the one we are skipping.

Another vote for Animal Kingdom. The only thing we really enjoy there is the safari ride so we usually skip that park and do the other 3. Every other trip or so, we go to AK to do the safari and spend a couple hrs. and then go elsewhere.

I would skip MK if it was me... I love AK.

However, my friends kids (who are about that age) really dislike Epcot. They don't like the countries and it's hard to kill a day on Mission Space etc...

No question. Animal Kingdom.

Yes I think I will have them skip AK. My niece and I will go there. We can always go back to the hotel or DD for the rest of the day.

I have never been to AK and am looking forward to seeing it.

Now just waiting for conformation from my sister if she is okay with no AK for her.

All other days I can not see skipping. I know we have two MK days but one day is her Princess Breakfast the other is Thanksgiving. So not an option.

I may even take my niece to Donald's breakfast for a surprise.

Another vote to skip the AK. If he's like most 14yo boys, the AK will not have enough thrills to satisfy him. DD15 and DS13 both prefer to skip it if we have limited time in Orlando. However, they both love EPCOT and MGM.

I also would say AK; not enough thrills for a 14 year old.

I think some 14 year olds would really like Epcot- the 3 "thrill" rides; Innoventions I think is PRIME for teen boys. And I think that they might enjoy some of the stores in World Showcase (thinking mostly of the Japan one- lots of kids/teen merchandise in there).

I am curious as to why Thanksgiving in MK is a "must". Thanksgiving Day in MK has nothing special going on that I've ever heard of...and it is a very crowded day for that park just because other people can only go during that time. I'd skip MK on Thanksgiving Day in favor of any of the other parks.

I would agree on AK. My DH and DS20 did skip it on our last trip. DD and I went but they don't enjoy that park so they decided to hit PI the night before and then have a rest day (slept in and went to a movie at DD).

that would be a toss up between Epcott and anmial kingdom. i would prob go with out ............Epcott :goodvibes

AK gets my vote too. My boys 12 and 14 have no interest in it. My 5yo DD likes it though. It's our last choice after we get our fill of the other parks.

Well for my family it's always Epcot that is "only if we have time" but a 14 yr old boy would have much different taste than my 2 girls...for him I'm say AK....it's one of our fav parks...but we love the zoo-like setting and all the animals.

MK on Thanksgiving will be our second time there. We are not doing Park Hoppers and want to go LTT for dinner. We are okay with the crowds. Our plan is to do the must see when we go the first time and the next time is to take it a bit slower.

We both go home the next day so one day of crowds will not bother us much.
