Need some help. Does it really matter what park we visit first?

First trip to WDW. We will arrive late on a Thursday and leave on the following sat (9 nights 10 days).

I have read that many people like to visit MK as their first park. What parks should I visit and in what order? Would love some advise. Here is what I have so far. 3 adults, one PAP, 2 MYW 8 day tickets with park hopper.

So far, I think we will go to Planet Hollywood on 8/12 and the Luau on 8/13 (8pm). Cirque du Soleil on 8/19 (9pm)

8/11 - thur - no parks - arrival day
8/12 - fri -
8/13 - sat -
8/14 - sun -
8/15 - mon -
8/16 - tue -
8/17 - wed -
8/18 - thur -
8/19 - fri -
8/20 - sat - no parks - departure day

Are you staying on or off site?

On site at CBR, no car so we will be using Disney transportation.

Also, we will have 5 plusses from the MYW tics so I figured
1 day BB
1 day TL
1 day DQ
2 days PI

I am thinking that the plusses won't take up a whole day.

I think it really depends on if you will be taking advantage of EMH hours (morning and/or evening). As of right now, we can speculate that they will be what they seem to be 90% of the time. However, until the park hours are released (should be next week), I would keep my plans flexible.

If you are not too tired-- I'd visit MK your evening afternoon/evening. The next day will 90% chance be morning EMH--- another great advantage if you rise early--- then you may want to hop to another park to avoid the crowds by late morning.

Ive been at WDW at times where Magic Kingdom is a nightmare and moved on to Epcot or MGM and were practically empty. Luck of the draw I guess.

Due to certain parks closing at certain hours, I would at least try to plan a little around that. For example, Since Animal Kingdom closes at 5pm, I would start the day there at 9am, when they open, and finish by goig to Epcot to see the Illuminations which is at 9pm. Be sure to schedule way in advance for Cirque, they do book up fast. I hope this gives you some what of a start.

Thanks ticket girl and Kilee.

Yeah, I got tickets for Cirque but then I started panicking because they are non-refundable. What if my plans change?

I plan to use EMH but we are not always early risers. I know for sure we will stay in the parks late.

Bumping, looking for as much advice as possible

I would try to stay away (in the middle of the day) from the parks with the extra magic hours. I would also try to at least get up a few mornings early to beat some of the crowds, but mostly beat some of the heat and humidity. We are going to do DQ one evening after doing a water park that morning, with maybe a break at the room in between.

From allearsnet.com

A recent inquiry of Disney regarding which days to visit which parks had the following response:

"During regular attendance periods, our parks tend to be the busiest on the following days:

Magic Kingdom: Monday, Thursday, and Saturday

Epcot: Tuesday and Friday

Disney-MGM Studios: Sunday and Wednesday

Disney's Animal Kingdom: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday"
