What park don't you *need* to see on vacation and why?

Also, another reason I don't care for AK is I hate to see all those animals outside of their natural habitat and living and captivity for other's entertainment.

That's the thing - To them, it's NOT living outside their natural habitat. Those animals are so much better off than they would be in the wild. No pouchers to deal with. Always plenty of food and water. If they ever get sick, they're taken care of.

I would be sad to have to miss any of the WDW parks. It used to be a toss up between AK (which is my husbands least fav), and MGM (which is my least fav). But I would have to say AK has pulled away with EE. I haven't even ridden it yet, but I will in Dec! So for me, AK has Dinosaur, FOTLK, TTBAB, Safari and now EE. On the other hand, the only thing I find forth going in to MGM for is TOT and RNRC.
Now, if you're talking NOT just Disney parks, then I would say US. The only really great thing there is Mummy, though I LOVE IOA!

I don't know that it's a "park" but I could do w/out DQ. DH and I visited DQ when it first opened and have not been back since. I am not big on virtual reality things (doesn't help that it makes me rather sick). That would be the only thing I could live w/out @ WDW. We spend at least 2 days in each park everytime we go. We used to have a favorite park before DD but now it's like reliving it all over again through her. We just LOVE each park for there own reasons.

DH & I can do without MGM when we go for a short stay.

MK we cannot do without!

We also both love USO and IoA and feel incomplete when we don't include at least a little of all the parks. Since we generally always do USO in our trips, we feel MGM we can do without if we had to.

I can completely do without Animal Kingdom. I've tried, so many times, to like this park. We've gone there so many times since it's opened - but no matter what I just have no interest in it. We've done the walking trails, the shows...I dunno, it just doesn't hold the magic at all for me. And when it's hot, FORGET ABOUT IT! That park makes me MISERABLE in the heat!

The park I can't live without is Magic Kingdom. We went there 4 times on our last trip. Every time, I get so excited when I hear that train whistle, see the castle, walk down main street. It just completely captivates me. I love that park.

I wouldn't want to have to do without any of them. Its the variety and different types of parks along with everything else WDW has to offer that keeps us coming back.

I probably wouldn't go to AK if EE were not going to be open when we are there. I agree that it is a lovely and interesting park, but it holds the least amount of interest for my family.

For me the can't miss park is EPCOT. For my son, it is a toss-up between MGM (to meet the Power Rangers) and MK.
