What park don't you *need* to see on vacation and why?

And which park can't you live without?

Don't need to see: It'd have to be AK for me. It seems out of the way and not even worth it if I do make it there (with the exception of a few rides).

The park I desperately need: Epcot! (big surprise, I know ;) ) There's just something about SE looming over me when I get there and the music in every area and the rides... :hyper: OK, I have to calm down...

How about you guys? :)

If I had to choose one park to live without, it would be AK. Of course, I haven't seen Everest yet....I was tempted to type MGM, but I don't think I could live without 3-4 rides on the best Disney ride ever created -- Tower of Terror.

I would have to go to MK. It's not my favorite park (that would probably be Epcot), but it is quintessentially Disney. It wouldn't feel like I was at Disney if I didn't walk down Main Street.

I could do without the Studios if I had to. I loves me some Tower of Terror and Rock 'n Roller Coaster - but that's about all I do there. I also love to eat at the 50's Prime Time Cafe.

I couldn't live without Epcot. Strolling around World Showcase is just one of my absolute favorite ways to spend time at Walt Disney World. And I can't WAIT until our little one comes and we can enjoy that with him or her. I think we're going to raise a little Epcot lover!!!! :)

Let's see, Universal Studios, IOA and Seaworld. ;)

I could definitely live without the Studios - we haven't been there on our last 2 trips, and we won't be going there on this year's trip, either.

I can't live without Epcot - the WS is my favorite place to be at WDW! :sunny:

I  all of them!!!

We don't go to WDW unless we have time to visit all 4, both water parks, Disney Quest, and Downtown Disney. OK, I know....we're sick!!!

I really like AK, though...AK and MK are my 2 favorites. I like AK because I think it is probably the best park for slowing down and noticing the little things. I could spend all day looking at the animal exhibits, but I can see where if you're really into rides there wouldn't be much to interest you.

We also enjoy US, IOA, SW, and BG. We usually only pick one per trip, though. We go to a different one of those each year.

MGM, I probably won't go on the next trip, and we'll be there for 14 days. I might be persuaded to go and take my sister's toddler to PHD so that she can ride ToT and RnR though - maybe an hour or two there.

I love all the parks and it would be very hard to skip one. MK is my favorite and if I could only go to one park for some reason, I'd probably pick MK, but if I'm able to go all four I would and do.

Each park is different and special in it's own way. I'd be very sad to miss AK as I LOVE the FOTLK show and the Jammin Jungle parade...I've done EE yet, but I bet that it'll be added to my not to miss while at WDW list. And the same is true for Epcot and MGM, each park has things on my MUST see list.

AK; Cannot miss this Imagineering masterpiece (it is Disney, not all about the rides)

EPCOT; The park that gave me Illuminations... Never would I want to miss it

MK; It's all about the Magic Kingdom, you could not miss this park

MGM; Has the Tower and Fantasmic, how could I miss this...

Wait a minute... I could say Universal  (I do love IoA though)

I have to say IOA for sure and AK I can go to a zoo anytime and I don't like rollar coasters which is all IOA is except for Spiderman but I don't think I pay 60 plus dollars just to ride one ride.

I just have to go to them all, and I love Universal too. :thumbsup2 This last time we went to all twice apart from Disney Studios, so I guess that may be the one I could miss. But, then again.....perhaps just one visit!!!! I think Epcot is my fave though. My husband is more a Universal man, though he did enjoy this visit to Disney with staying onsite.

I could probably do without the studios. I don't do TT or RRC. We mainly just see characters when we are there.

I could not live without MK. That has always been my favorite.

I definitely can do without Animal Kingdom. I know I will get flamed for this, but I can go to a zoo here at home. The only redeeming factor it has is It's Tough to be a Bug.

The rest of the parks I love equally :)

Anybody has his or her favorites but... AK ... IS... NOT... A... ZOO... :furious:

OK, OK, OK... I go a little over the top ;) , but I love the place (Imagineering masterpiece) :wizard:

I agree, AK is an Imangineering Masterpiece. Absolutely.
That said, it is the Park that gets skipped on short trips. Funny, because I really love the atmosphere there. I think ExEv may change that for me. I think it'll push me to make the "journey" out to AK even on short trips.

MGM is my least favorite Park overall. I love RnRC & go mainly for that. I can't spend more than a couple hours there no matter how hard I try.

MK is quintessential Disney & Epcot is my favorite Park, neither of those are skippable for any reason.

You are perfectly entitled to your opinion, and I respect it. But I hate the whole Nahtazu (sp) theory. It Izazu to me and I prefer to skip it :)

I agree.

I used to not care for AK, but after giving it a shot on my last 2 trips, I really do like it alot.

Everest, Dinosaur, It's Tough To Be A Bug, Kali River Rapids and Kiliminjaro Safaris are 5 of the best attractions in all of Disney World.

I couldn't skip any of the parks. Although I love the Magic Kingdom more than anything, they're all must do's for me and all have specific qualities I wouldn't want to miss on my vacation.

I used to think as you do. I can honestly tell you, if you take the time to explore, you will see why that motto is used.

No zoo in the world has attractions like Dinosaur or Everest.

The problem with AK to me will always be that it's a bit difficult to find your way around, and when it gets hot there, it gets VERY hot. But nonetheless, there are some very beautiful walkways, and Everest may very well be the best attraction in Disney World.

I plan on doing Expedition Everest on a family trip next year. I'm looking forward to giving it a try. I've never ridden Dinsosaur because from what I've seen of it, it's obvious my back would cramp for days after riding it.

*sigh* The OP asked what was our favorite and least favorite park. I listed mine and why. Don't really see the big deal.

Also, another reason I don't care for AK is I hate to see all those animals outside of their natural habitat and living and captivity for other's entertainment.
