What other villas can you recommend beside Windsor Hills?

I've read a lot about Windsor Hills and like what I see. I was wondering what other villas are comparable in price, amenities, proximity to WDW etc. If you could also include any links, that would be great :)

Windsor Palms is close, built by the same builder but a little older.

Emerald Island Resort is around the same area. There are other's but since I don't know their links, I will let others post them. The whole area is great!!

Here is a link to homes in Emerald Island.

There's another resort also called Encantada which is just a little past Formosa Gardens Blvd on 192. It's on Secret Lake Rd. ( across from Orange Lake ). Anyway it's new and just has townhouses I think right now. This is a link to one of the properties listed on vrbo.com . From this link you can go to the top and go back to all the listings for Kissimmee. http://www.vrbo.com/116627
I don't personally know anything about it. Here's the website for it:

There are a lot of subdivisions that don't have the community amenities. There are just pool homes with maybe a playground or tennis courts etc. Some are Formosa Gardens, Indian Creek, Rolling Hills, Oak Island Cove etc.
Here's a map to show you where things are. Windsor Hills isn't on there but it's beside the blue dot by the 545 for Old Lake Wilson Rd. Encantada is about where the words are for Emerald Island. The newer places aren't on this map.

There are nice new resorts on the Kissimmee side of the 192 like Coral Cay which is a relatively small resort of townhomes with hot-tubs and community facilities.

Another is Bella Vida which is townhomes and villas but I think it still has construction going on - not sure how complete it is :confused3

You will find loads to choose from :goodvibes

Windsor Palms properties can be found on www.windsor-palms-florida.net

Encantada is PSH's newer community. It is just townhomes as far as I am aware (no single family homes). I would also check the status of construction there - I know it is a newer community, but I am not sure if they have finished construction yet. (BTW I have stayed in homes with construction going on nearby but it has never been a problem for us as the construction work has been mainly finish type work - however it is always worth asking and being aware!)

Where ever you choose, enjoy.

Windsor Hills is in the Formosa Gardens area which is the closest area with vacation rental villa communities to Disney. If you want all the resort facilities, you have the choice of Windsor Palms, Emerald Island or Windsor Hills. Other communities with villas in the area, without resort facilities, are Arcadia Estates, Formosa Gardens and Rolling Hills.

Closest to Disney is REALLY subjective. Disney Property is so immense that condo resorts miles and miles apart are the same "distance to Disney property" so saying one property is closer to Disney than another is not necessarily correct. I just stayed at The Villas at Island Club last week and I could make the case that it is closest to Disney. I could be on Disney property on Sherberth Dr (I think I spelled that correctly) in less than five minutes. When we went to Animal Kingdom I was in the parking lot in under 10 minutes. So once you get on Disney property getting around is a breeze. Just stay off 192 whenever posiible!

Hey,
I really recommend going to highlands reserve villas. Not too far from the action, but not too close. Really good time was had by my family there.

We stayed twice in Emerald Island, a close neighbor of WH, and loved it. Se my sig for names of the two homes. Both terrific!!

Thank you for all the names and links. I can't wait to check them all out. You have given me some great things to consider :)
