What other subjects would you want to listen to the DIS team talk about?

Ryno starting DISPop got me thinking about this....

What other subjects, not necessarily related to normal show topics, would you be interested in hearing DIS podcasters talk about? I don't mean deeply personal things...they already share as much as they're comfortable sharing about that stuff already, probably. And we don't need to know any more about their personal lives than we already do.

I'm talking more about their life experiences and areas of interest/expertise. And I don't mean an ongoing show....just 30 minutes, an hour, etc.

For example, I'd like to hear Craig talk about the differences between working at USO vs. WDW. I'd like to hear details of Kevin's Top 5 lifetime travel experiences. I'd like to hear John talk about the challenges of the early years of the DIS. I'd like to hear Pete talk a bit more in detail about his recent weight loss and lifestyle changes. Same goes for Tess, Kathy, the Martins, and the rest of the gang, too. Each of them has things they know or have experienced that I'd love to hear more about.

And I'm not saying they SHOULD do this....they already have more than enough on their plate. Just throwing this out there as a Friday topic.

Great topic llama!
It's late here and I'm coming down with a bug so not feeling great, but will give this some thought and check back in tomorrow with my ideas!

well, first we need Oliver's take on Brexit

beyond that, not sure if they would want to share any secrets but I'd actually be interested in hearing about the technology they use from broadcasting and for making the "in the park" videos and how that has evolved over the years

And I'm gonna go ahead and knock this one out because I've seen it mentioned so many times....

I'd love for an entire show to be dedicated to everything we see behind them in the studio and nook.....what it is, where it came from, and if there are any stories behind it.

I really miss the second tuesday show :( never really thought about it but it kind of was what your asking here and while it had a topic, it was more personal and free form. the news is ok but it's the news.

yeah, i feel like we've tried to recreate it a bit here with the polls, etc. but definitely not the same

even if they only did that once a month or every other show or something it would be cool. I liked those too as Dustin usually led them so was just a change of pace/something different

Id love for them to have CM's on from time to time, to talk about their jobs. Like the 'popcorn bucket" guy from the DL show, they had a few chefs on in the past, maybe some Imagineers talking abut what projects they've worked on, even some gardeners talking about what goes into making topiaries for the F&G Show, animal handlers from AK, etc. - that type of thing. I'm not looking for any big "secrets" because I know that's against the rules,. and I respect that.

I remember John and Kevin in the Kitchen segment, but only once. I would love seeing Pete talking to a concierge at one of the resorts and how fun would it be seeing @WebmasterJackie talk to a 'friend' of a character. Then there is the creepy factor...Craig talking to all the princesses and Ryno interviewing Gaston.

I recall one episode they had Jess on (not our Jess, different DIS Jess) talk about her experience with the college program

I do think it would be cool if after a stay they had on a CM that made a great impression on them - maybe someone in Concierge or something

Yep, Phil - I remember "Frump Style Jess", that was awesome :)

Creepy though some may be, I like all your ideas, Pete! :)

I'd like to hear more banter from the team, like there was back in the pre-YouTube days. Also, would like to hear more from Oliver. He is the most natural on camera of anyone from the crew, IMO, even though he's still new.

CMs may not be allowed to speak like that and keep their job.. but agree, working with disney, find people who can :)

The thing I'd like most is to bring back the coverage that The Trip handled - offsite dining and attractions. I was thrilled when they started that show and really bummed when they stopped it. We don't stay onsite. We eat many meals offsite. I loved having a resource giving reviews and info about things outside of the Disney bubble. The whole team (except for Jackie) is local to the Disney area. Let's hear where you go to eat, where you spend your free time, what types of things you enjoy doing in and around the area.

Yeah, but they have been putting out so much in-park vlogs and stuff, so it makes up for it.

We have to jump through hoops to have a Cast Member on the show.

Then Disney sets the hoops on fire and puts them over a pit of live snakes.

For a CM to talk to the "press" they need to have media training and they usually have a "handler" that accompanies them.

We also have disclose whet we will ask and how we will ask it.

Cast Members are not allowed to discuss their jobs otherwise.

Guess I'll either have to mail you snakes and flaming hoops, or admit I had a bad idea, huh? :)

Not a bad idea...just extremely difficult and we would NEVER get any "insider" info....which is what everyone wants to hear.

Why does it have to be snakes?!?!?

Hope you enjoyed the food and wine preview - loved the video from the last one
