We did the lunch box. I thought it was clever (I had come up with the idea myself and read about it here after we got back!). This worked out well for us because it was a princess lunchbox, and we did the Storybook dinner at Akershus (or whatever it's called, in Norway), so all the princesses signed it one place, so I only had to carry the lunchbox around for one evening. DD was SO excited to come back home and show all her friends. She still carries the lunchbox, almost 2 years later.
Next time, I'm hoping to come up with something brilliant, but if not, I wouldn't feel bad about doing another lunch box.
The one thing I'm thinking of right now (more for myself than DD!) is the book "My Side of the Story". We're doing the 1900 Park Fare dinner with Cinderella and her whole family. Well, this book has Cinderella's story (where we can have Cinderella, Prince Charming, etc. sign) and if you flip it over, it has the same story, written from Lady Tremaine's point of view [example: The rumor that Cinderellas stepfamily tore her lovely dress to shreds so she couldnt go to the ball? According to her stepmother, they were only trying to save Cinderella a lifetime of embarrassment at her fashion faux pas and gently suggesting that she stay at home. (Lady Tremaine says the gown actually looked like it had been sewn together by rodents!)] . So I'd have her, Anastasia, and Drizella sign that side. They were by FAR my favorite characters from our last trip, although Alice was pretty awesome as well!
Last time, we brought an invitation from Cinderella for DD, asking her to dinner with her family (for 1900 PF). When we got to our resort (WL) I asked the CM who was checking us in to give it to DD. She did one better and had it delivered to our room with a bunch of balloons. I'm doing the same thing this time, but also having a 2nd delivery of the book, "from Lady Tremaine." I haven't figured out exactly how to pull it off yet, how I'm going to word notes, etc, but I'm so excited! DD will be floored!
The book is also available for other stories... We have the Little Mermaid one, but I know there's also Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Peter Pan, 101 Dalmations...
