What % of people dress up for Pirate's Night?

Thanks all! We are leaving on the Dream 3 night that leaves 3/10/17. We are nervous yet excited since none of us have ever cruised at all! Hopefully this is a great experience and will make us want to continue cruising, in addition to our other Disney experiences!
Hope you have a fabulous trip!

We are on that cruise too! I bought costumes for all of us. We are a family that likes to go all out for stuff like that.

We leave Friday for our first cruise on the Dream. We have a Pirate's Night, and I was not planning on dressing anyone up (kids are 9 and 11, and my parents are going as well). It is too late to throw together any full costumes, but I could probably get some bandannas and eye patches or something. Just wondering if we will be uncomfortable if we are not dressed up in full costumes or not dressed up as pirates at all?
I don't know a % I would feel comfortable in saying but it is alot. It FEELS more than half but you tend to notice a grown man in a pirates costume more than a grown man in jeans.

It certainly isn't needed to have fun but it's hard to say whether you would feel uncomfortable or not. I think of it like karaoke. Some people go to watch, laugh and listen. Some people go to sing. Some people go to show off their skills. Some people go to make a fool of themselves. If my daughter sees kids in costume, she wants to be in costume so it may make her uncomfortable but you and your family may not feel the same. Some kids don't care about dressing up for Hallowen, mine starts talking about her costume on November 1.

You could wear jeans, the bandanas they provide on board, go get some red t-shirts and any local monogram/silk screening shop should be able to put something on the t-shirts for less than $10.

I was going to suggest that you can do a Mr. Smead costume like in the above pic (I think that's the character's name from Jake and the Neverland Pirates ), my dh wore a similar t-shirt that he already had in his closet. If your boys don't have a shirt like that you can easily make one with a white t-shirt and fabric paint. My dd and I wore t-shirts I ordered from Etsy with long skirts. Have fun.
