am i the only one who thinks stacy and clinton are just a little too rude to these people? i mean, i know they're trying to be funny, but its just not funny, a lot of times they're just mean.

and i hate how they throw EVERYTHING away, and those stores that they make you go to, you can't get a full wardrobe for 5000.00, you can just get really fancy work clothes. what are you supposed to clean your house in? i'm not going to scrub the toilet in a dress and heels.

Nah, sometimes the critique is needed to snap a person out of the delusion they're living in. Besides, Stacey and Clinton are such a good pair for quit wit.

They don't necessarily throw everything away, I've seen them keep some sweaters, etc. Also in most episodes its pretty obvious they're shopping in a Macy's or Nordstroms, so that would be easy to get $5000 worth. They only show you a small sliver of what they buy, but I assume they encourage a wide variety of clothes.

Sometimes I think they are rude, but they don't actually trash the clothes. They donate them

in the newer episodes, they show everything they buy at the end.

To be honest, I don't think it's any of their business what other people wear. It's an entertaining show, though.

When it first came out, there was someone else there. Not Clinton. I think he had dread locks. Anyone remember who that was?

I love What not to Wear!
Stacy and Clinton are just trying to HELP people, and if you really see what some of these people wear, you'll realize, THEY NEED IT! They actually don't throw everything away. They give most of it to charity. And I have to disagree, not everything the people on the show buy are work clothes. A lot of the time it's clothes you could wear food shopping or to clean up the house. They just don't want the people to be wearing sweats everyday of their lives.

Lol, why do they need to help people with their clothes? I mean, I understand doing it if they ASK for help, but they don't. It seems really embarrassing.
I miss Nick as the hairstylist, though.

He was so nice <3
They got rid of him?!

The last episode I watched was of the DISer.

Well, some people just don't get that they're dressing so terribly. And their friends/family ASK for help for the person. It is really embarrassing, but hey, they get 5,000 bucks for new clothes, I'm sure they can bend a little bit, LOL

Although now, I really like 'How do I look' on Style (I think) I like how they put everything up that vacuum (sp?) tube

Oh, they had an episode with a DISer? I'll have to watch that. Did they say any specific things towards the DIS or did they just talk about it as a one time thing?

Yep it was a fun one. She even stopped at The Disney Store in NYC and they got sooo mad :P

But they also got rid of her Alice in Wonderland purse and a mickey shirt or two.. And her crocs.

Sometimes they are incredibly rude, but sometimes it's needed. I mean, you're a 45 year old mom of 5 and a housewife. You have no business wearing a leapord print mini dress to the PTA meetings!

Lately they've been just ridiculous though. How exactly do they expect a mom to cook/clean/do errands/take the kids to soccer practice in a dress and heels? (And I don't mean a sundress)

They do buy other things besides heels/dresses. If you've ever watches the episodes where some of the people who have been on the show come back and have a whole chat about their lives now, you'll see that they are doing all the mom things, while looking appropriate but without all the 'glam'

Yes I know that. It doesn't matter - heels, pearls, and a dress are not practical. Why can't they dress them up in great flats, a fantastic pair of jeans, and a cute top with a good cardigan if needed? They do that but it's rare. There was one episode where they wanted the mom to go out like she was ready for a magazine shoot! No way, that's not going to work.

Yep, it was Philadisney. I'm not sure if she mentioned the DIS specifically, but she owned a ton of Disney items that they totally trashed on.

Lol, yeah. I am not going to clean my house in anything that look decent! I clean in an old volleyball shirt from 2006 and some old gray shorts. I don't think a lot of the things they say are realistic.

Yeah, I see what you're saying they do always make them look all sparkled up. But these people aren't idiots, of course they are going to buy some more comfy clothes that are also cute AFTER the show is over. But I see what you are saying.
