What Not To Wear At Walt Disney World - Getting ready for the next one -Show on again

I just saw your BBB post. :) Hi! Sorry I startled you when you came up to you- I'm actually very shy and had to push myself to say hello- but I recognized you from your tv stint right away!

And BTW, your FGIT is actually named Maritza, not Marita. She's one of my favs- a lot of fun.

awwww I hate when TRs come to an end. I thoroughly enjoyed reading and I hope to read another from you in the future! :goodvibes

I wish I had a chance to actually talk to you - I'll have to drag Jack back to the BBB next time
Maritza was great - especially considering Jack was totally bewildered about what was going on!

awwww I hate when TRs come to an end. I thoroughly enjoyed reading and I hope to read another from you in the future!

Thank you!! I hope to have to good fortune to write another one!

Don't let Stacy see the picture of you at Epcot.:rotfl:

I am sad on my last day at WDW. But my trips are so short; sometimes only one/two park days so I can't let it bother me. I can only imagine a week or 10 day trip to WDW. That would be pure torture to my DH. He can't stand how much running around I do when we go to WDW. Unfortunately my Dsis, who travels to WDW with me most frequently, had very limited funds. We would have so much fun being there for a week, but we would have to win the lottery to go that long.:lmao:

I know, that picture even disgusts me :rotfl: I guess one starts to get a little loopy after a week in Disney World.
I really thought 8 days would feel like a long time, but I still came away wishing I had more time! Here's hoping we both get some winning lottery tickets this year ;)

Hon, I really enjoyed reading your trip report, so I'm sad to see it come to a close!

Might I recommend that you start planning that trip for next fall? Pretty please?

Thank you so much! I can't wait to start planning our trip for the fall, if there is one of course. I'm *supposed* to be saving up to purchase a house this summer. But I reeeeeally want to go to Disney World too!

I'm so sad your TR is over, Kelly! Thanks for the great read!!! :goodvibes I'll keep my fingers crossed that you'll be planning another trip real soon!

Thank you for reading!! :teeth:

Thanks for another great trip report. I always enjoy them.

Thank you so much!

Great trip report! You should post your scrapbook pages. I was hanging out over there on the scrapping board in Sept. and Oct. while I scrapped (for the first time) our 2007 trip and it was really fun. The pics I took this last trip weren't nearly as good and I actually tried harder to take more. I did have enough to make a snapfish book that was pretty neat.

Who could ever get tired of WDW?

I'm exciting to delve into the scrapping board now that I am attempting one of my own. First I have to go through all of my pictures and figure out which ones I want to print, which seems like a huge task and I keep putting it off  I love snapfish, I just had some calendars made of my trip to Ireland last year, and they came out amazing!

Aww, it's over? Say it isn't so! Great trip report. It was simply delightful!

Thank you so much! I had been plugging away trying to get it finished and now that I have, I'm kind of sad about it too!

I enjoyed your TR. You should post your scrapbook pages too as you finish them!

Thanks! I will if the thread hasn't been closed by then. It will probably take me months

Yes, you must always get pictures of Dis meets - planned and accidental ones!

Thanks for taking us on this trip. We'll be ready to go back with you to Beach Club or Ft. Wilderness or wherever it is you want to go in the fall! ;)

Have you got the license plate on your car now?

Enjoy fixing your scrapbook and re-living all the fun!

The plate went on my car the day I got home, thanks to Jack  I love it. I think my friend is leaning towards the cabins so I'm excited to start researching - I've never even been to Ft. Wilderness! I think Jack would love it.

I hate the last day! And I'm so sorry that your trip is over since I've enjoyed it so much. I totally agree w/ you that a cocktail from Hurricane Hanna's plus Beach Club view is :cloud9: I hope that you get a chance to return!!!

Thanks for such a great trip report!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

It's Monday so I could go for one of those cocktails right now ;) Thank you for reading!!

:rotfl:
This just made me laugh because I always think of it as mickey ice cream dipped in chocolate . Remember that old commercial "you got your peanut butter in my chocolate" "Well you got your chocolate in my peanut butter"

And that concludes random thought theater for the night!

Yes I do remember that commercial! Here's one of my favorites:

COLLISION ALERT!

thanks for a great read, it was tons of fun and i still havent caught your what not to wear episode even with all the marathons they have been having , hopefully i will see it sooon. take care hopefully you will have another trip to write about soon

Thanks! I hope I do too. I feel like there was a time when they were showing that darn episode every week but I haven't seen it in a while!

I know. They are just crazy!!! I would take Disney World any day of the week.

You are very lucky to have Jack. ;)

I know ;) He's a sweetie! Though I don't think he'll let me take him back to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique

I'm so sad your TR is over but so happy that you might have another trip planned!! :yay:

i hope so!! in the meantime i'll live vicariously through your planning ;)

what a great TR!! Can't wait for you to plan another!

So sad your trip report is over. Thanks for sharing your wonderful trip with us! Can't wait for the next one!

We tried the FTW cabins on our trip this August. We really liked them! I would highly recommend them. Our cabin was right next to a pool which was nice. The only negative thing I would say is the transportation. You have to take a inner FTW bus to get the a "main" bus stop. So if you go anywhere other than the MK area, which has a boat, you have to take two buses. However, for the space and atmosphere, they are great! On a rainy day, we rented a few dvd's and yes, there are two tvs and a dvd/vhs player! We would definitely stay there again!

First off I have some exciting news (well exciting for me anyway, ha!). Guess who's mother has a conference scheduled in Orlando from March 12-17? That is correct....MINE. I am in the process of a) convincing her to let me tag along and b) convincing work to give me a few days off. I'm so excited! It would just be a few days, but I'm thinking of spending time a day at MK, a day at Epcot, and a day at Universal (since I've never been, and we're staying off-property anyway). There are some things to figure out (like how I am going to get around without spending $200 on cabs!). But hopefully it will work out!

Thanks so much for the input about the cabins!! The more I hear about them the more excited I am. While I am a Beach Club girl at heart, the cabins seem like they would be such a unique experience at WDW. I love the idea of having a TV with a DVD player too since we'll probably be going during hurricane season again and having a few rainy days!

what a great TR!! Can't wait for you to plan another!

Thanks, me too!! Hopefully I'll be planning my next one VERY soon!!!

:cool1: How exciting!!! I hope you are able to talk her into letting you tag along. We are thinking of going to Universal after they complete the Harry Potter area. My husband is into Harry Potter big time so he wants to check it out. I love the idea because it guarantees me another trip to Disney World. ;)

Let us know if you will be making the trip down. :goodvibes Good luck!!!!

I hate to jinx myself before the tickets are purchased and everything is set in stone but....
2 MONTHS FROM NOW I SHOULD BE BACK AT WDW!

My mom loves the idea of me coming with her - she'll be there for about 5 days but her days are not full, so she'll have some downtime to hang out. I am so excited to plan everything! I have a fun idea for writing the TR too, to make it unusual. I've already made a tentative schedule which involves Narccoossees (I know I'm butchering that spelling), Spoodles, Jellyrolls, Beaches and Cream Cheeseburgers, Splash Mountain, Illuminations, Basin, and Universal Studios. I am so excited. Figuring out transportation will be a bit tricky - those cabs are expensive - but since I don't have to pay for my hotel, I can't complain!!
It also looks like our fall trip will become a reality, as AAA seems to be having some sort of special that involves 40% off! I can't wait to talk to my partner in crime who is helping me plan that trip, so we can figure it all out.
I can't believe I might make it to WDW twice this year!! I am so lucky. And I only have 2 months to plan this first one! :surfweb:

Yay for trip planning...especially planning 2 trips!!!! DH & I are planning a long weekend at the end of March - sorry we'll miss seeing you there. :)

That's great Kelly! You should just rent a car, more reliable than a taxi and probably will end up costing the same.

I really enjoyed your TR, though mostly as a lurker. I hope it all works out for you to be able to go in March. If so, have fun and bring back details.

 New trips

New planning, new TR's, more ways for me to live vicarously through my fellow Disers!! :woohoo: I agree with renting a car!

Yay for you on a new trip! One dancing banana for each month -  .... but you need to extend it for ONE DAY!

I'll be there on the morning of March 18th.

I'm so sad that your TR is over, but so exited that you are planning more trips! I can't wait to read your TR's from those sa well!:cool1:

That is so exciting. Two trips in one year!!!! :cool1: I hope it all works out for you!!! It sounds like you are going to have a great trip with your mom. I can't wait to read that trip report. :thumbsup2

Just wanted to say thank you for your trip report. It was cold and gray here in VA when I started reading yesterday and your report brought a ray of sunshine in! I hope you and Jack make it back to WDW soon, you are such a cute couple. Oh, and I will be watching all reruns of 'what not to wear' looking for you. :happytv:

First off just wanted to say for anyone who hasn't seen it and wants to - my episode of 'What Not To Wear' will be on TLC tomorrow (Friday) night, at 8pm and then again at 1am. Can't believe it's only been a year since it first aired, it feels like ages ago!

Thanks - what a nice thing to say! :goodvibes: And hello from a sort-of fellow Viriginian - my parents live in Williamsburg!

OOOOOOOOH March; that is just a short time from now!

I can't believe it! I am so lucky - this is the fifth time I've been able to go to a Disney park for cheap because my mom has had a conference. I'm glad her company is fond of meeting in Orlando and California!

That is so exciting. Two trips in one year!!!! :cool1: I hope it all works out for you!!! It sounds like you are going to have a great trip with your mom. I can't wait to read that trip report. :thumbsup2

I am so excited! I just made our ADRs - Spoodles and Narcossees, two places I've always wanted to try. And my work just approved my time off for the trip! Both my boss and the scheduling person said "Where are you going?" I can't believe they had to ask. :p

I'm so sad that your TR is over, but so exited that you are planning more trips! I can't wait to read your TR's from those sa well!:cool1:

Thanks! I am already trying to figure out how I want to write this next one. I want to make it different and fun since I'll hopefully be writing yet another one in the fall!

WOO HOO for your upcoming trip(s)!!!

And yours too!!!!

Yay for you on a new trip! One dancing banana for each month -  .... but you need to extend it for ONE DAY!

I'll be there on the morning of March 18th.

You're kidding! I'm so bummed. We have to fly out on the 17th because that's when my mom's conference ends (and I can't take off any more work days). With the frequency that we both go to WDW, we'll have to run into each other one of these days, hopefully once your new little princess arrives!

 New trips

New planning, new TR's, more ways for me to live vicarously through my fellow Disers!! :woohoo: I agree with renting a car!

It is such a good feeling to officially have a trip planned (I consider it 'official' once work gives me the green light to take the time off, and they did that today!)

I really enjoyed your TR, though mostly as a lurker. I hope it all works out for you to be able to go in March. If so, have fun and bring back details.

Thanks - looks like I'm definitely going! Can't wait, and thanks for reading my TR! Sorry it took me so long to write the thing!

That's great Kelly! You should just rent a car, more reliable than a taxi and probably will end up costing the same.

Thanks for the idea Lessa! I did the math and talked to my mom, and she thinks her travel agent can get her a discount on a car rental! Good call. Now I will just have to figure out how to drive through Orlando - never done it, even when I lived down there :scared: My mom and I rented a car when we went to Ireland last year where they drive on the other side of the road, and most roads are one lane even though they have traffic going both ways, so it can't be worse than that!

new trips!!!! :woohoo:
YAY new trips! I keep saying I should try somewhere else but who am I kidding :rotfl: Jack and I might take a long weekend in Chicago this year just to expand our horizons a bit!

Yay for trip planning...especially planning 2 trips!!!! DH & I are planning a long weekend at the end of March - sorry we'll miss seeing you there. :)

Yay trips!:woohoo: I'm sorry we'll miss you. I have only run into other DISers a couple of times but it is always so much fun!
