What NON TRADITIONAL place would you like to visit on a vacation?

OK, I know most people would NOT want to go to these places, but I would like to see both India and possibly Vietnam.

Me too, but when I tell people I would like to go there, people say stuff like "Why go there, when you can go to _____________?"

I hear there are some beautiful places to visit in Vietnam. It is somewhere I hope to go in the near future. Hope to do a trip to Thailand and Vietnam.

We are planning on going to Tokyo and Hong Kong one year (not just to visit the Disney parks!) I have always wanted to go to Tokyo, not sure why.

Hi!

I usually go to at least one exercise conference a year. While it is in a different region of the U.S. each year, usually it is at a rural conference center that has no TV in the hotel rooms, and sometimes no swimming pool! However every year I always learn a lot, so it and Disney are my two favorite vacations of each year

it may not be a hot, happening vacation destination, but i'd like to go to scotland. i know a lot of people wouldn't choose it b/c of the weather, but i would LOVE to travel the country, visiting castles and such.

Too funny! We live in Singapore for DH's job right now. We'll be going to Vietnam, Cambodia, and New Zealand this year for vacation. Last year we hit Beijing, S.W. Australia and Bali.

My dream list includes the Galapagos islands and Peru.

I love Singapore - we spent a lot of time there when we were living in Indonesia. Bali was probably the best vacation I've ever taken...but I'd be a little nervous traveling anywhere in Indonesia these days. I've never been to Vietnam or Cambodia, but my DH says they were both beautiful (and he's sorry he never took me when we were living on that side of the world). I hope you have a great time!

We're going to Peru (Lima, Cusco and Machu Picchu) in September. I can't wait!

I have no interest in leaving the country - and I don't know how "non" traditional this would be - but I would like to spend some time in Amish country - Lancaster County, PA.. Not for the "tourist traps", but to wander around the countryside and watch the Amish at work and such..

I lived there. It is as exciting as watching paint dry.

It is beautiful to look at, but in an area not all that far from there, I prefer Gettysburg.
