What -No fish?! No Mickey Mouse? What kind of Magical Vacation is this?! March 2010

YAY for a fun flight and that there wasn't a problem with the ME tags! :goodvibes Can't wait to hear more!

YAY for a fun flight, with no problems. We've had a flight attendent like that on a SW flight before---really funny. :)

Yes - it was great. Honestly the smoothest, carefree flight I've ever been on. When we came in for the landing the pilot came on the overhead and said "Whoa...big fella, whoa and then make a clippity-clap sound like a horse slowing down. :rotfl2:

Joining in. Can't wait to hear more!

:welcome: Thanks for joining in. Hope you enjoy!

I'm hoping I'll at least be able to finish Day One some time today!

After making stops at ASSp and ASMu, we finally made it to ASMo. On our way in to the main lobby area the girls decided to take a walk down the red carpet. I really wish I had the girls do a repeat so I could get a better picture but some poor little boy had just gotten sick on the bench right there by the entrance & I knew if we didn’t get outta here there would be 6 more sick individuals right beside him!

Stacey & I both hopped in line to complete the check-in process. Believe it or not our rooms were ready! :woohoo: So we all headed down to check out our rooms which were located on the 1st floor of the 101 Dalmation’s buildings. As much as I hate to say it, I was a little bummed though when I first walked into our room. Not because they were really bad or anything but you could tell this resort had seen better days. Everything seemed dated & faded – you know. :sad1:

Here’s a pictures of our room.

Although I knew it was way too early to be expecting our luggage, being the glass half full kind-of-person I am, the whole luggage/tag dilemma was still weighing pretty heavy in the back of my mind. So after touring our rooms we decided to head up to the World Premiere Food Court to grab some lunch. I mean food (even food court kind) is bound to ease my mind, right?!::yes::

Since our ADR’s for Chef Mickey’s were not until 7:50PM and currently it was only about 12 o’clock we had plenty of time to play. So after lunch we all decided to go back to the rooms, freshen up and make our way on over to MK.

When we got back to the rooms the most awesome surprise was waiting there for us – OUR LUGGAGE -all of it too!! :dance3: One of the bags actually looked like it had been dragged behind the plane. Never-the-less I was ecstatic! :yay:
So now that the luggage issue is behind us, it’s time to let the fun begin. Below are a couple of pics of us waiting in line for the bus to MK.

The next picture requires a little explanation. See, as some of you may know on our previous trip to Disney World back in May 2009 it rained A LOT and DH, DD & I often found ourselves running for cover. :umbrella: During one of those moments at the MK, the area where we had taken cover was located right off Main Street, back behind where they sometimes do the silhouettes (not sure what they are called).

Well, hidden back in that area are some pay phones (who knew they still existed). DH decided to take down the number to one of the phones and periodically we will try calling the number in hopes of speaking to someone visiting the world. Crazy? – Yes I know! I think Bryan & Stacey thought we were pulling their legs because up until a few weeks prior to our trip no one has been answering so we had to go back and test the phone. Below is a picture of that moment.
100_2571.JPG

I’m happy to report the phone is still in working condition. :thumbsup2 So if you're ever back there taking a break from a rain cloud and the phone starts ringing, don’t be shy say “hello”!

Okay – unfortunately I’m going to have to pause here. I’m not sure how long one post should be and I’m afraid of getting cut off. I will hopefully add the remainder of Day One here shortly. I apologize; I know I’m dragging this out. I think once I’m past Day One things will go more quickly.

I'm glad all your luggage got there quickly so you could go to the MK with no worries about it. :cool1:

Great pic of the girls on the red carpet! That’s so cute! So glad your luggage made it there ok! I’m always afraid of losing my luggage also! LOL! That’s such a cute story about the pay phones! LOL! Can’t wait to hear about the rest of your MK day!

I'm glad all your luggage arrived, and fairly quickly, too! :)

Cute pic of the girls on the red carpet! :thumbsup2 AND, I hear you about having to move along, since there was some *ahem* over from you---I know I teach school, so the sight of stuff doesn't bother me, but throw-up smell (SORRY to be gross) can get me everytime!

DAY ONE – Wrapping up the day w/ a birthday celebration -Pt 3

After catching a show at the Laugh Floor, riding Buzz, Stitch, SM, and verifying that the phone off Main Street still worked we decided to take the monorail on over to CR for our reservation at Chef Mickey’s.

While waiting on the monorail to arrive, one the CM’s came over to Ashley and told her she had a phone call. Ash went and picked up the phone to answer and there on the other end was Mickey and the gang singing Happy Birthday! :bday: Cool – huh? :cool2:

Shortly thereafter the monorail had arrived so we got on and headed on over to CR. We arrived a little early at Chef Mickey’s but they managed to get us seated with little wait.

This was our first time to eat at Chef Mickey’s and for a buffet it was really good. The girls got to meet with all the characters more than once so that was good.

Then it was time for birthday cake.
100_2622.JPG

We all needed a sugar boost to help us get back to the room. We were all tiring out really fast. So after the cake we all headed back to our rooms at ASMo and called it a night. Tomorrow we would take on Epcot!

I honestly could hardly believe it. On our 1st trip it literally took about 3.5 hrs for it to arrive.:confused3

We actually have a number to one of the pay phones at Epcot as well. We forgot to test it while we were there. :)

Ditto on the luggage.

I felt so bad for that poor kid.

Pretty good so far - what better place to spend your birthday than Disney World? And what better to spoil your dinner with than a Mickey Premium!
YUM!

YAY! Glad you got your luggage!! Love the phone the phone thing in MK!! Did you know you could do the same thing to the phone booths in the UK in Epcot?! More on that in my TR when the time comes!! :goodvibes Love Chef Mickey's!! Your picture turned out great!!

You know I never thought about the phones in the UK. Great idea! We do have a number for one of the phones located at the restrooms by Spaceship Earth in Epcot. We forgot to check it.

I'm hoping to get Day Two started today. I apologize but I'm sure my fellow TwiHards understand. With the release of the new Twilight 'novella' and then the Eclipse soundtrack - need I say more!! :cloud9:

Here's a little teaser of things too come - a fishing trip w/ no fish,:fish:a man in a speedo, & a ride on the ToT we won't soon forget! :scared1: Plus "Hey, what happened to the floor?!" BTW - did I mention the man in the speedo! :rotfl2:

A birthday celebration meal at Chef Mickey's sounds like the perfect ending to a great first day!

Now, as for what's coming up.............I'm hoping we just hear about the man in the speedo, no pictures, please! HA

I got the book, but not a fan of the soundtracks....but it is way too long to wait for New Moon movie!!!:headache:

Um.....speedos? Please tell me no pictures were taken, or at least won't be posted!:scared1:

Aw - c'mon is this some kind of reverse psychology?! Does No really mean Yes??? :rotfl2:

I finished the Bree novella this afternoon. Very interesting. I absolutely LOVE the 1st soundtrack!! You know Rob (Edward) sings two of the songs. :thumbsup2:cloud9:

Day 2 began and ended with Epcot. We arrived at the park around 9:30 AM.
100_2632.JPG

Our first stop was to get FP’s for Soarin and then head on over to TT. The Arrington’s had never ridden TT before, so we were excited!

Image0001.jpg

After zipping through TT, we headed on over to another Arrington 1st – Mission Space. This is one of my DH's favorite rides. Naturally he wanted to ride the version that is ‘guaranteed to make you puke’ but DH was out-numbered. Both make me nauseated. I always keep my eyes closed through the entire ride.

Next we made our way back over to Soarin’.
Emma & Ash in line for Soarin'

After Soarin’ it was time for Spaceship Earth. Below is a picture of Future DH & me. Not sure what was up with my pic??
100_2664.JPG

Upon leaving Spaceship Earth it was déjà vu all over again – IT WAS RAINING!
100_2674.JPG

It was about 1:00 PM now so we all decided to head back to our rooms to rest :faint:and ride the rain out. We planned to come back later that night and watch Illuminations.

On our way out of the park we met up with some characters.

100_2673.JPG

Coming up next more Epcot.....

LOVE TT and Soarin'!!! Uggh!! Rain--been there, done that! YUCK! I hope it didn't last long! CUTE character pics! Oh--and love your hubby's shirt! ROLL TIDE!!

Later that afternoon after the rain stopped we headed back to Epcot to start making our way through the WS. On our way to WS we stopped by the Coca –Cola shop so the Arrington’s could experience another 1st – BEVERLY!! (Dang it I wish I had a picture!) :headache:

After our Coke taste test we continued to make our way on over to WS. First stop - Rose & Crown Pub so DH could relish his favorite ale. :drinking:
100_2689.JPG

100_2693.JPG

Next stop Paris so Mom could relish hers – the Grey Goose Citron Lemonade Slush AND the Grand Marnier Orange Slush. :drinking1 BTW this was going to be another Arrington 1st (for Stacey at least!) but definitely not the last.
100_2694.JPG

The chilly temps that night made it a little hard to get these down. I had to chase mine with a hot cappuccino.
We worked our way around to America to catch a little Davy Jones. Then we found us a place to sit and watch Illuminations (another Arrington 1st).
Image0089.jpg

After Illuminations we decided to call it a night and head on back to our rooms.

Before leaving we stopped so the 'Dads' could shop for the perfect hat.
100_26831.JPG

Then Bryan got to step in and help one of the CM's wave and say good night to everyone.

Tomorrow the dad’s fish!! :fish:

I did not know that, but, ahem, I am TEAM JACOB! hee hee....:lovestruc

I still have not tried the slushies - that is DEFINATELY on my list for my next trip!
