....Going To Try During DIS-Con?

Here is a short list of things I am excited about.....ALL new for me.


Can't wait to meet Dan Murphy.
I've never seen Fantasmic at WDW, so I'm looking forward to this.
I've never been to a Candlelight Processional (though we've tried a couple of times)
I've never stayed at The Swan~~let alone visit any of those EPCOT/MGM resorts.
And I'm looking forward to trying Splash Mountain for my FIRST time ever!!!

Wow new things!

Let's see

for me the biggest new thing will be going to WDW by myself. I have never been without someone from my family in all my years of going (since 1971) so this will definitely be a new experience. Luckily I will have 300+ other screaming fans to get me through the trying days.

I have never stayed at the All Stars.
Never been to a candlelight processional.

Have never seen Tia on Spash Mountain so am looking forward to that.

I saw very little of world showcase- I am looking forward to exploring that more.
I have never stayed at my resort before- that will be fun.
I do not have a picture with MickeyMouse and myself- My disk crashed last time I hope to get one this time!
Meeting so many new friends and seeing old ones too, is very exciting.

First, I've never been to a convention at WDW before. Especially where I'm going all by myself and meeting people I've never met before. (with the exception of Dan, PatrickIL, Dee, Nikole and a few others. Sorry if I forgot you) I really can't wait to meet all my new DIS-Con buddies!!
I've never done the Candlelight Processional either. Have no idea what to expect.
Haven't seen the new Spectromagic.
Haven't seen the Tapestry of Dreams parade.
Never had dinner in France.
I've never ridden any rides with a huge bunch of friends before and am really looking forward to that part! I am really pumped about seeing Tia and others ride RnR, SM, and ToT for the first time. I get such a kick out of new rider's reactions! It makes riding so much fun!!!
I've never had a Dole Whip! Yes, I know-what's wrong with me and where have I been?!?
I've never stayed at the Yacht Club before.
I've never really done karoake before, except a group of bridesmaids at my sister's wedding (me, inc.) sang My Guy by Mary Wells. (actually, I thought we ladies could all sing this for Dan-our guy!)
I'm sure there are others, but I can't think of them at the moment.

-I've never had a good view of Fantasmic, so I'm looking forward to the dessert party there.

-Eating at France (with my family) and I THINK at Japan for the Epcot dinner

1. First time riding Dumbo (with Barb-for-real, right??)
2. First time coming to WDW solo (actually my first solo vacation ever)

4. First time at Pleasure Island

6. First time meeting a whole bunch of people I've only known online
7. First time having tea with the ladies.....

My first MVMCP!

My first time in PI and Adventurer's Club
My first meal in Whispering Canyon AND Chefs de France
My first Grand Tea
My first Karaoke ever
My First ToD, 100 Anniversary, Share a Dream...
Hopefully, my first time riding Splash Mountain...Will I chicken out/survive?????
Hopefully, my first picture in WDW will be taken... I am always the photographer, never the subject.
My first time on a photo with Mickey! See Patrick, I am also new to that.

Well, let's see. There are a lot of firsts. I'm sure that I'll leave a few out and there is no particular order.

1. 
   Going to my first DIS-Convention that is appropriately called "A Gathering of Friends".
   Meeting so many, many people that I have talked with here on the DIS.
   Staying at the Disney Dolphin Resort for 12 days. A long time for me.
   Going as a group on a night tour of the resorts to see all the Christmas lights.
   Going to a Fantasmic Dessert Party.
   Going to a special ToT event.
   Keyes of the Kingdom Tour.
   DATW
   Riding the Carousel.
   Riding Dumbo
   Riding Rockin Roller Coaster.
   Special Dessert party at EPCOT.
   Seeing MVMCP with a group.
   Seeing CP with a group.
   Visiting Animal Kingdom Lodge.

   And things that I must, absolutely, positively see more than once:
   1. 
      Spectromagic
      EPCOT'S Christmas Processional
      EPCOT's Chritmas Tree opening Ceremony
      Slowly, very slowly exiting EPCOT, listening to the Christmas music and walking through the sparkling thing in front of the Christmas tree and watching the dancing water fountains.
      Walking down MK's Mainstreet when it is snowing.
      Watching the fireworks.
      Seeing the opening to the Osborne Christmas lights.
      Riding the monorail at night to see all the Christmas lights, especially the around EPCOT.
      Sitting in the lobby and enjoying the very large Christmas tree and scheduled choir or bellringers or band at the Wilderness Lodge, Grand Floridian, Boardwalk and Dolphin Resorts.
      Sitting at the fireplaces at the Wilderness Lodge. The main lobby one. The one in the Whispering Cafe. And the one on the 2nd or 3rd floor with the leather chair and looking out onto the lobby.
      Dining at the Contempory Resort's California Grille and watching the sunset and the fireworks over MK [/list=1]If I think of any more, I'll add them.
      
      Oh, and those of you that have never been to Walt Disney World during the Christmas Holiday time are in for a real treat.
      
      The Christmas Processional is so emotional and ibspiring with te wonderful orchestra and the hundreds of singers.
      
      All the Christmas lights and Christmas songs everywhere at night.
      
      Snowing down MK Mainstreet with all the Christmas lights and Huge Christmas tree.
      
      All the Resorts decked out in Christmas lights and Christmas trees and specially scheduled choirs by kids or adults.
      
      Night time is the very best time.
      
      I'm really getting excited to meet everyone!!!
