I have just lost 1 stone since getting back fron Italy in June, nowhere near enough, go on Thursdays for 25 nights, 1 stone back on plus some, especially with a 4 night cruise in middle. Cant wait for clam chowder again. And the homemade mushroom soup in Sweet Tomato. Mmmmmmmm.

My problem is too many holidays, from June this year to April next we will have done 65 nights abroad(over 9 weeks) how can I lose weight? my weight is like a yoyo.

I'm seriously missing disney at the moment,
i miss corn bread (although i might try making some)
sandwich ice creams we used to have
american breakfasts
Oreos (solved that one though, found a place which solved a huge box of them for £5.99) must be 50 packets of them in this box
Also in WL i had this fruit juice out of the drinks machine, not sure what it was, but blimey was it nice...if anyone has any ideas of what it could be i'd be grateful, it was red and you could use your refillible mug to have it!

Bloomin Onions are awesome, however Im the only one in our family who like Onions (amazingly), so I have to manage a whole one to myself, and to make room for my main course, half always gets wasted :-(

I just tried to order one of these cutters from Lakeland (and I'll have to buy a deep fat frier too!), but Internet Explorer is warning me about a fake security certificate or something....Im going to phone my order in I think later.

OMG!!! That's LOTS of onion... :rotfl2:

Fruit Loops
Chocolate covered pretzels from Disney (wish they still sold them over here!)
Cherry Vanilla Dr Pepper
Blizzards from Dairy Queen (makes a McFlurry seem so rubbish lol!)
Coldstone Creamery

Have a feeling I'm gonna put a ton of weight on on my upcoming holiday!

Why not order one as your main and then share a dessert or something like that?
I always find US restaurants seem so obliging if you ask to do something a little 'different' like this, or to share a starter or desert, whereas a lot in the UK seem to look down on you if you don't have the 'norm' from the menu.

I am having one for my main as I'm a veggie and didn't fancy any of their mains listed on their website.

Stuffed french toast, YUM!! I knew about soft pretzels before we went the first time but trying them definitely started the addiction, same with cinnabons.

hi how do you stuff french toast is it like the supermarket stuff we get here crispy and brittle if it is they must be magicians to do it :wizard: :rotfl2: please explain what its like its the first time this has come up i think. :thumbsup2

Okay...I guess this is what an American gal gets for dippin' in your thread...so, I know pounds are money--but stones are weight? How much does a stone weigh? We usually talk about how many pounds we gain on vacation...I suppose you folks lose quite a few pounds while over here! :confused3

Hi :)

One stone is 14lbs (pounds) in weight. So, if you weighed 140lbs, you would weigh 10 stone (280lbs is 20 stone) etc.

I think that we tend to use a lot of GB£ (pounds) in Florida, but gain quite a few lbs (pounds)!

Husband and I always say that we couldn't live in the US, because we would eat too much ;)

*lol* In a lot of restaurants they have a stuffed french toast breakfast dish.. CRT do it with cream cheese, Kona Cafe at the Poly do it with bananas etc. My favourite is iHop's cream cheese stuffed french toast with strawberry compote  I made banana stuffed at home recently, yum! I don't think I did it the way i've had it in restaurants, I used an egg batter which I fried the bread in.

 EMILY1982, If i remember correctly the yummy red juice you are thinking of is fruit punch, we had this at breakfast time on the Disney Cruise 2 years ago and we tried everywhere to find it with no luck untill a workmate of mine (that used to live in Florida) told me to buy it in Publix in little sachets called Kool Aid (sp?) It's the closest thing i've found. There are different flavours, cherry, pink grapefruit, lemon/lime etc... and of course Fruit Punch :yay:

Hope this helps :)
Audrey. :thumbsup2

Audrey, if you can get to the supermarket you might want to try Hawaiian Punch- the fruit juicy red flavor. That is probably the most authentic fruit punch you can buy. This used to come in big metal cans when I was a kid, now it comes in bottles.
