What new attraction are these people talking about?

Hmmm, it might be Mission Space. It might be one of the cave projects that were rumored about a year ago, but it doesn't really fit with well with anything that has been talked about recently.

From the dates mentioned and the previous connection of the vendors (ETC, the vendor for the M:S ride mech, also supplied the Virtual Space Mountain cabs that FT appears to have written the software for), I think Mission:Space is a likely choice.

So, am I to expect 3D Virtual Reality Internet access while being thrown about in a motion simulator all to the theme of "SPACE"?

Seems a bit involved to all fit neatly into one attraction.

I could think of more boring ways to download porn though.......

Expect CyberSpace Mountain pods attached to ends of a big "X," the whole shebang spinning quickly enough to induce a weightless effect.

Use of 3D glasses in the pods would be news to me... my assumption was they were referring to 3D like one would say "the DOOM 3D software engine." Meaning a 2D image created on the fly with 3D equations... giving computer graphics the same kind of 3D effect Walt's multi-plane camera gave traditional graphics, years ago.

As far as Internet connectivity goes, I had heard they are going to try some new things with the back end of FastPass. Perhaps the Internet connection has less to do with guest interaction than with guest traffic patterns. Mind you, this is a WAG based on two pieces of partial info...

Cricket:

Downloading PORN?? My pristine image of you has been marred forever :)

Why don't you email them and ask them what attraction that is? It almost has to be SPACE, but as was already mentioned, it seems like an awful lot of disparate technologies to include in one attraction...but who knows.

Ahh. [smacks forehead with palm. Someone else's palm, obviously... just a head, ya know] Considering I'm a computer geek IRL, I'm kinda surprised to be facing this particular "well, duh" moment...
