I'm trying to decide what food i need to pack or pick up during my grocery stop before I get to WDW. We plan to eat most of our breakfasts in the room. We have 3 girls age ranging from 13-8 , they are heavy snackers, and I'm on Atkins. I know I'm buying cases of water, what else do you suggest?

Slim Jims
Nuts
Peanut Butter (always in my luggage)
Sandwich bags (in my luggage)
Atkins bars (for emergencies)
Fruit - I choose apples because they carry well and provide thirst relief
Bread
Jelly
sunflower seeds
muffins for breakfast

We always bring bottled water, gatorade, sunny D, breakfast bars, small boxes cereal, and individual snack size foods that we can throw in the backpack and is easily portable - like packs of trail mix, pb crackers, slimjims, powerbars.

For breakfasts I have granola bars, pop tarts, and instant oatmeal packets. I take powdered milk to mix with cold water for their milk and some ovaltine or strawberry powder to mix into it to mask the "powdered milk" flavor.

For snacks anytime I take apples and bananas, homemade trail mix, PB&J, bread, and juice boxes.

We bring:Small cereal boxes
poptarts
baggies(leftovers)
crystal light powdered packs
water
fruit by the foot
lollypops/gum/mints

The kids will pack their fanny packs each morning with what they want, then they can snack as they wish. :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsgirl:

Peanut butter!
Snackwells
LOTS of bottled water
Gatorade
Mini Carrots, cucumber strips (if fridge is in room)
Milk, juice (if fridge is in room)

We buy water by the gallon at the grocery store, and one six-pack of bottled water. We save the bottles to refill each night- cheaper that way, I've found. We also buy crystal light or iced tea powder to mix up and fill the bottles with. If you have a coffeemaker, buy the gallon of water for making coffee- the water in FL makes NASTY coffee (koolaid, crystal light, etc). For park snacks, we take chewy granola bars, crunchy granola bars, and chewy fruit snacks. Anything with chocolate/pb chips melts and makes a mess, fruit gets bruised, carrots/celery get soggy and limp.
