What Musical Instrument Do You Most Enjoy the Sound Of?

The Sunday Morning Show (CBS) just came on, and there is trumpet music in the opening. I love hearing a good trumpet.

In high school bands, when they play the Star Spangled Banner, I love hearing the trumpets when they hit the high notes.

I enjoy hearing a good saxophone player too.

How about you? Which is your favorite?

The piano. It's so versatile and pretty. If I had any musical talent at all, I'd want to play the piano.

I LOVE the sound of a French horn in a band/symphony performance. It just has such a pure sounding tone, and you know things are getting serious when the French horns get their big moment in a performance .

I like a good song on the piano. I enjoy the sound of a good wooden xylophone (I also like those wooden windchimes, too ). I also enjoy a good tune on an electric guitar.

I love the horn section, especially the trumpet and french horn.
But I also love violin - imagine the love theme running through Scheherazade by Rimsky Korsakov - magic

I also really like the mandolin like in some Eagles songs.

Bag Pipes actually have a very pretty sound. I love the piano, violin and flute too. I wish I could actually play an instrument though.

depends on which band is playing.....the HS one, the flutes. The MS one it's the euphonium/baritones. (those are what my dd's play)

In reality, if it's played well I love all instruments...their sounds are all unique and add to the quality of the piece played.

If it's solo, than the piano wins hands down, than a lap dulcimer (again, both DD's play these)

an awesome drum line is a sight to behold and truly music to the ears...the problem is...they are few and far between around here.

I love the sound of the harp, I could listen to that all day (it is an instrument I wish I had learned). I guess I have to say the trumpet too as I have been playing it for 24 years!!
