Are there certain months free dining is offered?

Usually it's from mid to late August to mid to late September.

I don't want to give exact dates because it's been shorter and shorter each year

2006 Free Dining - August 13 - September 30
2007 Free Dining - August 26 - September 22

Some experienced a slightly longer window as they are from the UK or participated in bounce back dining, which has a longer window.

Look for general free dining to be announced early April, with booking beginning around April 11th

Keep in mind mid-August probably won't happen. The window continues to shrink.

So it would be safe to say September will be when you can get free dining. However, I would LOVE to be wrong because we arrive August 10th, but don't plan to get free dining....(I hope disney proves me incorrect). I do have the 40% code, so I'm satisfied.

If the bounce back dates for 2008 are 8/30 - 9/27, I'd guess that the general dates would be (at best 9/1-9/20) Last year bounce back was until 9/29 and the general window was 9/22. Like I said in my original post, the bounce back is generally a longer window.



n2mm - I agree with not counting on Mid August, that's why I said mid to late and dug up the old dates for my post too. Just wanted to give the historical info so they could see the shrinking window.

Does anyone know if bounce back offers are offered all throughout the year? Or is it only one particular time frame?

We going in a few weeks and would certainly take advantage of a bounceback if offered.

Not sure if this is clear. I meant, do they put those offers in the rooms all throughout the year? I know the free dining is for September.

Also, do they put them in deluxe hotels, or only moderate and value?

I believe that bounce back is just offered for those participating in free dining this year.

In 2006 I thought they may have done a bounce back for those staying in early December who booked ahead to September 2007, but I don't believe they offered it to those staying in December this year.

Thanks, Tricia. I was wondering about that...I stayed at POR in October and I know we got some sort of bounceback discount offer (which we unfortunately couldn't take advantage of), but it wasn't for the free dining, so I was wondering about when that was offered.
