What moderate to Disneymoon at?

So. I can't decide where to Disneymoon at. I stayed at POFQ with an ex so that seems wrong... And I'm not sure I want the atmosphere of Coronado... So what do you girls think? I wanna book in the next few weeks, we're splurging on the deluxe dining too.

I voted for CSR.. While it is the only Moderate I've stayed at, I was like you, thinking I wouldn't like the atmosphere. I ended up loving it. Its SO incredibly beautiful at sunset, all pinks and corals, and especially walking around the lake at night, with the tiny lights on the buildings twinkling in the water. We found it to be very quiet and relaxing, we assume because its one of the least child-appealing resorts on property.

No matter what, I don't think you can go wrong at WDW resort!

I really love POR. I think the grounds are beautiful and all the areas seem really private compared to other mod's i've stayed at. There are carriage rides and a boat to DTD that are an added bonus if you are going to be spending some time at the resort in the evenings and want something to do. If we weren't staying at AKL on our honeymoon we'd definitely stay there. CB would be my second choice. I really liked the fact that if you were back there in the evening you can lay in a hammock on the beach and watch fireworks, and it was fairly quiet while we were there... It really depends what kind of feel you want in your resort.

We went back and forth over this too! From POR to CBR and now we've settled on CSR...I think! It is a tough decision, but after reading all the rave reviews on the Resort board, I like the amenities, the easy transportation (even though we'll have a car) no sharing buses...and the central air as opposed to window units...I know, silly!

I've never stayed at any of the moderates, but I've heard very good reviews of POR.

I have only stayed at the CBR as a child, and I loved it, it's very well themed and I like the beaches and recreation and all, but it seems to be more of a family/child oriented resort? I would vote for POR, we walked around there in May and were going to stay there until we decided to splurge a little. But I loved the feel of it, it just seemed so romantic and pretty. But like someone else said, I think that maybe it depends on what feel and atmosphere you are looking for. I have heard good things aout CSR as well, so really you can't go wrong.

We've stayed at all 4 at some point. Although we didn't stay at POR together... I stayed there for a family trip. My vote is definitely for POR! I think it is such a pretty resort. There are some quiet areas and lots of place to take nice walks. There is also the boat to DTD and carriage rides (not sure if you can get the boat at POFQ?). We also like Boatwrights the table service restaurant. I do like CSR but there are a lot of convention-goers there. To me, POFQ is more of a place to go with friends.

I haven't stayed at a Mod, but I voted for CSR because I love the way it looks. I have heard great reviews of it and seen some very spectacular pics of the resort (thanks Mario ) Out of all of the Mods that is the one I want to stay at most.

I voted for CBR, I have stayed at all of the moderates and I like this one the best. We are going in September and plan on staying at CBR again.

We have picked the CSR, we looked at POFQ but it seems alot go there so we wanted something a bit different and we are used to staying at the all stars so this will be luxury!

I voted CSR. We've stayed at all the moderates and this one is our favorite POR is nice, but we just like it better. We like the pool better, the bar, the breakfast place (different then a food court and has really yummy breakfast burrito) and is just prettier. Some of POR is really pretty, but some the building are kinda

In my opinion, I love the POFQ. It is so romantic at night, just like home for me. But since you went there, I voted for Riverside. They have the horse drawn carriage ride as well!!! And a nice moonlit walk along the river and the water taxi to DTD.

Hi, Stephanie! We stayed at Riverside for our honeymoon. It was great. There was many lovely paths to stroll, the horsedrawn carriage (though we didn't opt to do that), a poolside bar, and most fun of all, a fun little guy who does a jazz/sing-a-long show from like 7 to midnight on most nights. He was great. I can't remember his name (it might be in my trippie?), but he was really great at getting the crowd pumped without being overly cheesy.

I've never stayed at the other three, but we did drive them all and felt that Riverside was most "us." Maybe if you have time you could drive over and have a look? And send pics to DF? GL deciding!

I voted for POR, it is the only moderate I will stay at and my favorite!!! While Coronado is fine it is a convention center so it is VERY large and there can be a lot of large groups there, we encountered this on our last stay.
