I went ahead and booked Pop for free dining in September and now I am thinking of maybe upgrading to a moderate. But if I do, I won't do it until the very last day that the free dining promo is offered. I think it is June 21st or something. Anyway what I am needing to know is, what moderates resorts will be left by then?(The very last day) I am guessing CBR and that is just fine with me, but I wanted to make sure that there will probably be something left. Oh and I would never cancel my Pop ressie until I did have one at a moderate. TIA

I don't know that the CBR would be the last one to fill up--especially with the new themed Nemo and Pirate rooms and the new pool. My guess is it would be the CSR because a lot of people don't like the fact that it is a convention resort. As there is a limited number of rooms at each resort for the free dining, I think it is really too hard to say.

CSR would be fine too. I just know that from what I have read reguarding the values, Sports is generally the last to fill so I did'nt know if there was a moderate that the last pick of the litter too.

Last year, by the end of the promotion booking period all values and moderates were gone, as I recall. Deluxes were left, of course, since free dining isn't that much of a bargain at the deluxes. I would guess that, of the moderates, POR fills up first since you can put 5 in a room there and free dining is the best bargain when you pack as many people as possible into one room.

So, if you want to switch, I'd do it now while there is plenty of availability.

Of course, this year could be different than last, given the economy. I don't recall free dining being explicitly advertised on TV during past promotions, but I saw a commercial a few minutes before Good Morning America started this a.m. expressly advertising Free Dining.

I was just thinking when I look around to book for myself it seems CBR is sometimes the only with space remaining. However I agree the pirates rooms will equal that more.

I am going to give you my advise based on the 4/3 package. I needed to change my dates and had a hard time getting CBR. Everytime I tried to book, only POR came up, once in a while CSR. Over several days I did this a few times a day, finally CBR came up for my dates and I booked it. Also, I made res. for free dining just before x-mas and only POR was available. We ended up cancelling.
Hope that helps.

I booked FD about a week before the end of the promo, and all that was left was POFQ. I was fairly flexible with which week I could go in september, and the ONLY availability was POFQ. I was surprised since it is a pretty small resort. And I must admit, I was a little dissapointed since I had stayed there before and wanted to try something new. that is why this year I booked on the 1st morning it was available and got what I REALLY wanted... CSR!!! :goodvibes
