We have been 3rd week of september every year for 6 years. We are used to working around the 2 MNNSHP. We have even attended a few and yes they are really fun, but expensive! We are a family of 5 with 4 considered adults. To have to plan our touring around three nights of MK closing at 7 is ridiculous! It is our favorite park at night and now that you are so limted I am sure the other nights it is open past 7 will be more crowded. There is now one day a week, if you stay onsite and have evening extra magic hours, that you can actually see MK when it is dark. One of those things that you try to ignore when you love disney and tell yourself it is not about the money, but it obviously is. The guests with the day ticket have to leave to make room for more $ for the MNNSHP. I know some might say that disney is doing it because demand warrants it, but the weekday partiess we have been to were not crowded in September. Now I have to decide if we will spring for the party tickets when they clearly were not in the budget.

I recall 3 per week in September (Tu, Fr, Su) and 4 in October (adding Th) as the norm in recent years.

Your definition of not crowded may not be the same as mine and especially if we have different agendas at the same party. To equate your perception of crowds with real overall demand doesn't really compute.
