What Means "Ay, Caramba?"--Famous for Family of the Day!,Sept TR-Cape May HooRay 4/14

Awesome! This is on our must do list next time. We love the ride and my girls love gardening anyways, so thank you for this!

great update on the Behind the Seeds tour, especially being 2nd hand I thought it was great!

I could so see some of those responses becoming recurring joking responses to things around the house

"uh, it's a knife"

"Ugh, I was thinking anise!"

Two updates! :cheer2: Hooray! I'm so sorry to hear about your car wreck and other drama. It's been a bit of a year over here too, so I can sympathize. ((HUGS))

Matt + your kids = so much cuteness I wish I could have seen it in person! And I'm sorry the crazy garden lady had to be such a spaz on their tour, but I'm glad Kalea was able to still make it great!!!

Ahhh the crazy person in the bunch. At least it can provide some unintentional entertainment I guess. :headache:

Awww Ladybugs :lovestruc Yes I am a fan.

OOOOOOOOHHHHHHH I WANNA SEE THE FREAK OUT!!!! My God this lady is too much. I swear I would absolutely ask the stupidest question in the most serious way just for the reaction. Oh what fun that would be. "Ummmm... What are all those green leafy things hanging off the all plants?"

OMG how sweet to ask for a photo. That is just so darn cute.

You know Jen, for a second hand report, I'd swear you had to be there. Really impressive. :goodvibes

Loved seeing the tour from a child's perspective. Their tour guide was truly wonderful, and it's so great she made them feel special. We were sad when we did the tour in 2012 versus 2007 because in 2007 the cucumbers were mickey shaped!!! Then in 2012 imagine our surprise when they hand us "regular" cucumbers! Of course we still ate them. Thanks for all the updates!

Edit - I also was trying to look in the pictures and see if I could guess who miss community garden was!!

Great updates Jenn. The tour looks great! I'm considering gifting it to my MiL on her next trip!

Can't wait to hear more.

Loved both your updates! I am literally laughing out loud thinking about "Miss Community Garden!" My DH would love that tour... He's pointed it out a few times when we are by Soarin, loved the photos... So we may need to add this to the list for the next trip!

And as for your part of the day.... Sometimes leisurely strolling around Disney is just the perfect way to enjoy Disney time! Soaking it all in! The fish and chips are SOO good... My belly is rumbling right now!!!

Haaaave I mentioned how much I enjoy hearing about your day while I was off trading Vinylmation? Because it is so much fun reading all about what you guys were up to! And have I also mentioned how much I love the story with Matt helping Brynn with riding Soarin'? My husband is pretty freakin' adorable.

I also adored hearing all about their tour! But that lady... I would have probably just told her to shut it, hahaha. Like what the heck was her deal?! Seriously. And Brynn is so cute, I mean, CLEARLY she knew it was anise, hahaha. I love her.

I'm so happy to see your back on the DIS, lady! :goodvibes

Love the BTS update! The girls seem like they were absolutely fascinated. The tour guide also sounds like a really awesome CM! So sweet that she wanted a picture with the girls at the end. :goodvibes

Oh my, Ms. Community Garden...I totally think you should post that video!! Sounds hilarious! :lmao:

...I know. There's like a MILLION of us. :)

My kiddos are older (they'll be 15 and 11) and I just started getting all psyched for our next trip - it's been too many years! The photos and video are so freaking incredible and I love the posts. I could easily spend my life on this board but I won't...but I'm totally keeping up with your posts.

And...highlight of the posts for me so far...Behind the Seeds! I had already signed us up for that tour. I'm super excited and we are a total science nerd family (we watch NOVA and all things PBS-y all the time) so it's right up our alley.

No dining plan for us this time - that will be new...but I think it's the best bet this time around for budget reasons - anyway - love, love, love. :thumbsup2

Hey Jenn! Sorry I've been MIA on the Dis for a while so it's taking me some time to catch up with everybody. We actually got a snow day today so what better way then to think warm thoughts of Disney!! Glad to see you all survived the Snowmageddon in GA. It's been an unusual winter for everyone, even in Virginia.
Anyhoo, love the Dessert party! It's my favorite part of the meal and how did you manage to keep it a surprise? I would have blown it! I'm not very good at keeping secrets when I'm excited :yay:
The Behind the Seeds tour looked really cool. Glad the girls really enjoyed themselves and learned some exciting things. I've always wondered if some of the tours were worth the extra money to do. Looks like this was a good one!
Well I'll try not to get so far behind now and can't wait to hear about more of your non-plans in EPCOT:thumbsup2

Well I didn't freak out after seeing you've updated but I was a little relieved, I'm a worrier I guess. (Though I did remember a hiatus last year around this time as well and was hopeful that was all this was..l:rolleyes )

Loved both updates! The no more paparazzi photo is perfect...enough.enough. I didn't know about that strawberry shortcake but it's on the list now, looks yum.

Ok, you know we all want to see the freak out video now, right? Some people:confused3.

Well I started writing about my disaster trip from your encouragement a couple months ago. Now that your back I need to really get started! I need to know I have one reader first, please?! JK- I'll get it posted soon, I need a little HTML help but I'm figuring it out!

The girls look like they really enjoyed BTS!! I thought it was fascinating...and as much as I loved LWTL before it gave us a whole new appreciation!

The tour looks really interesting! I will have to add it to my list of things to do. I'm glad the girls liked it!

Awesome! This is on our must do list next time. We love the ride and my girls love gardening anyways, so thank you for this!
I was actually thinking about you guys when I was writing this. You're a perfect family for this tour for sure!:goodvibes

great update on the Behind the Seeds tour, especially being 2nd hand I thought it was great!

I could so see some of those responses becoming recurring joking responses to things around the house

"uh, it's a knife"

"Ugh, I was thinking anise!"
They HAVE become quite common around here, lol! :lmao: It was just too funny of a tour not to commemorate forever in household-humor-speak!

Thanks. Life stinks sometimes, but it all works out in the end. It's just hard to see it when you're in it.
That lady was annoying, but I think she made such an impression that the tour will always be unforgettable :rotfl2:!

Ahhh the crazy person in the bunch. At least it can provide some unintentional entertainment I guess. :headache:

I did grill Brandon right after the tour and again before writing it, so I found as many details as I could without actually being there. I'm glad I did an okay job!
The freak out...hmmm...probably not going to post that, but trust me when I say it was wild! I just don't want to embarrass the lady if she were to come across a video of herself. I'd be embarrassed if I ever acted like that :rotfl:!

What!? Mickey shaped cucumbers!? If the girls had known that ever existed, they would have been upset, too! At least the regular cucumbers were still tasty.
Do you think you've got it figured out? I purposely didn't point out which one she is, just to save her embarrassment in case for some weird reason she were to run across this. That being said, I could probably pick her out without knowing for sure:thumbsup2. Draw your own conclusions, lol!!

Great updates Jenn. The tour looks great! I'm considering gifting it to my MiL on her next trip!

Can't wait to hear more.
She would love it, Shannon! I've never heard a bad thing about it from anyone of any age. What a considerate gift!!:goodvibes

DO IT! You won't regret it. Maybe you'll get lucky and get some Miss Community Garden type person/entertainment. There always seems to be one in the bunch, right?;)
I could seriously eat those fish and chips every day for lunch. EVERY. DAY.
I think we were all having a great day, and it was about to get even better--rides and joining back up with Dani!

Haaaave I mentioned how much I enjoy hearing about your day while I was off trading Vinylmation? Because it is so much fun reading all about what you guys were up to! I'm so happy to see your back on the DIS, lady! :goodvibes
Likewise! I loved all your Vinylmation details and seeing the inside of the elusive building!
You are so right. Matt's just a great guy. Better than great. I cannot imagine any other man helping out a child like that who doesn't even belong to him. That's why I don't believe that whole "can't choose your family" thing...'cause, yeah, I think we have. You guys mean the world to us. And while we don't have to talk you through rides ;) , we'd do anything for you.

I probably wouldn't have been able to keep my cool with that lady, either, but Brandon's much more...uh...contained(?) than I am. He doesn't speak up to other people. He just complains to me later :lmao:! But it's a good thing it worked out like it did, because him holding in his frustrations and me not actually being there means we were both able to see it as hilarious once he told me.

CLEARLY anise. Duh, people. Any five year old knows that.

I'm happy to be back. I hope life doesn't get in the way again like it has the past couple of months. I feel very out of the loop!

:lmao:
She seems like the perfect CM to lead a multi-age tour. So sweet, and you can tell even in the pictures that she loves her job.
It IS hilarious, but I don't want to post it and have the lady see it. She'd probably notice how ridiculous she looks and sounds and be so embarrassed! I know I would be! (But to be fair, I'd never act like that! )

Great updates!!!! We have missed you :lovestruc
I'm so glad to be back! Thanks for sticking with me.

...I know. There's like a MILLION of us. :)

Jenns are obviously awesome!!:rolleyes1
I'm glad you like the photos and video. A new video for this TR will be done within a week or two, I think! (And it's way better:thumbsup2.)
Your family sounds very similar to ours. I know you'll love the tour!
The only reason we have done the (free) dining plan so far is for the massive amounts of character meals we do. Once our kids are older, it totally won't be worth it. We just don't eat that much!
So happy you're reading along!

No worries! I've been missing for a loooooong time, too!
I think I was able to keep the Dessert Party a surprise from my family because I could talk about it with Dani, Matt, and Susie! They were all going and we all picked the same night, so I got to discuss it and didn't feel like I was going to explode!
This is one of the (if not THE) cheapest tours, and also very informative. Not everyone is interested in gardening, so the groups are usually small. I think that really makes it worth it. Spoiler: we do another tour later on, and it was also worth it!
Glad both of us are back in action on the Dis!:goodvibes

Well I didn't freak out after seeing you've updated but I was a little relieved, I'm a worrier I guess. (Though I did remember a hiatus last year around this time as well and was hopeful that was all this was..l:rolleyes )

You have a very good memory :thumbsup2!
That lady was a hoot. Kind of makes you wonder if she was some sort of character actor, because WHO DOES THAT?!
Get started! I'll totally be a reader. I'm not very much help on any of the technical stuff, but I'll cheer you on :rotfl:!

The girls look like they really enjoyed BTS!! I thought it was fascinating...and as much as I loved LWTL before it gave us a whole new appreciation!
I didn't even think they could be more obsessed with LWTL, but they totally were after this tour. There may be a niche market for this tour, but they were in it!

The tour looks really interesting! I will have to add it to my list of things to do. I'm glad the girls liked it!
I hope you do it and enjoy it! It doesn't take up a ton of time or money, so it's perfect for a lazy Epcot day.

Okay so I didn't want to say anything but on both our tours, we also fed the fish. The feed is gross smelling pellets, but it's fun to watch the swarms of fish. Now the last time was in September 2012 so maybe it's been changed. We also did the Epcot Segway tour in 2012 and that whole thing's gone now so who knows?

My husband asked about all the mickey shaped items including the cucumbers and we were told that it was part of someone's research or project and so it was basically (I'm heavily paraphrasing here) "limited time magic!" I will forever remember them tasting better for being mickey shaped though.

Seriously love it though that the tour guide made sure to include the girls so much.

And I have a guess about miss community garden. I may have to PM you with it!

Miss community garden , had me laughing out loud and scanning the pictures to see who she might be !!! Great updates though, my little one likes unusual things that other children might not enjoy. For example learning spaceship earth narrative and riding it at least 25 times on our last trip . The girls look so involved and curious it's lovely . Being from England I am pleaded to say I have fish and chips at least twice a month we call it chippy . However I would trade you this for your breakfasts and pancakes . Glad you are back :)

Ooh, I'm so excited to read about this tour!

Okay, Crazy Lady needs to get over herself, seriously. Some people.

That's too cute Julia and Brynn were given ladybugs! (By the way, I also REALLY love their shirts!)

LOVE the thing with Stanley the Plant. Brynn is just so adorable, I'm glad she was able to visit him again before the end of the tour!

I just read the part about the ladybug release and SERIOUSLY, Crazy Lady?? I hope your girls weren't too upset about her, because she doesn't sound like the best person to take a tour with.

Kalea sounds like an awesome tour guide, though! I love that she was the one who wanted pictures with Julia and Brynn, that's so sweet! :goodvibes
