Awesome! This is on our must do list next time. We love the ride and my girls love gardening anyways, so thank you for this!
I was actually thinking about you guys when I was writing this. You're a perfect family for this tour for sure!Awesome! This is on our must do list next time. We love the ride and my girls love gardening anyways, so thank you for this!
They HAVE become quite common around here, lol!great update on the Behind the Seeds tour, especially being 2nd hand I thought it was great!
I could so see some of those responses becoming recurring joking responses to things around the house
"uh, it's a knife"
"Ugh, I was thinking anise!"
Thanks. Life stinks sometimes, but it all works out in the end. It's just hard to see it when you're in it.Two updates!Hooray! I'm so sorry to hear about your car wreck and other drama. It's been a bit of a year over here too, so I can sympathize. ((HUGS))
Matt + your kids = so much cuteness I wish I could have seen it in person! And I'm sorry the crazy garden lady had to be such a spaz on their tour, but I'm glad Kalea was able to still make it great!!!
I did grill Brandon right after the tour and again before writing it, so I found as many details as I could without actually being there. I'm glad I did an okay job!Ahhh the crazy person in the bunch. At least it can provide some unintentional entertainment I guess.
Awww LadybugsYes I am a fan.
OOOOOOOOHHHHHHH I WANNA SEE THE FREAK OUT!!!! My God this lady is too much. I swear I would absolutely ask the stupidest question in the most serious way just for the reaction. Oh what fun that would be. "Ummmm... What are all those green leafy things hanging off the all plants?"
OMG how sweet to ask for a photo. That is just so darn cute.
You know Jen, for a second hand report, I'd swear you had to be there. Really impressive.![]()
What!? Mickey shaped cucumbers!? If the girls had known that ever existed, they would have been upset, too! At least the regular cucumbers were still tasty.Loved seeing the tour from a child's perspective. Their tour guide was truly wonderful, and it's so great she made them feel special. We were sad when we did the tour in 2012 versus 2007 because in 2007 the cucumbers were mickey shaped!!! Then in 2012 imagine our surprise when they hand us "regular" cucumbers! Of course we still ate them. Thanks for all the updates!
Edit - I also was trying to look in the pictures and see if I could guess who miss community garden was!!
She would love it, Shannon! I've never heard a bad thing about it from anyone of any age. What a considerate gift!!Great updates Jenn. The tour looks great! I'm considering gifting it to my MiL on her next trip!
Can't wait to hear more.
DO IT! You won't regret it. Maybe you'll get lucky and get some Miss Community Garden type person/entertainment. There always seems to be one in the bunch, right?Loved both your updates! I am literally laughing out loud thinking about "Miss Community Garden!" My DH would love that tour... He's pointed it out a few times when we are by Soarin, loved the photos... So we may need to add this to the list for the next trip!
And as for your part of the day.... Sometimes leisurely strolling around Disney is just the perfect way to enjoy Disney time! Soaking it all in! The fish and chips are SOO good... My belly is rumbling right now!!!
Likewise! I loved all your Vinylmation details and seeing the inside of the elusive building!Haaaave I mentioned how much I enjoy hearing about your day while I was off trading Vinylmation? Because it is so much fun reading all about what you guys were up to! And have I also mentioned how much I love the story with Matt helping Brynn with riding Soarin'? My husband is pretty freakin' adorable.
I also adored hearing all about their tour! But that lady... I would have probably just told her to shut it, hahaha. Like what the heck was her deal?! Seriously. And Brynn is so cute, I mean, CLEARLY she knew it was anise, hahaha. I love her.
I'm so happy to see your back on the DIS, lady!![]()
She seems like the perfect CM to lead a multi-age tour. So sweet, and you can tell even in the pictures that she loves her job.Love the BTS update! The girls seem like they were absolutely fascinated. The tour guide also sounds like a really awesome CM! So sweet that she wanted a picture with the girls at the end.
Oh my, Ms. Community Garden...I totally think you should post that video!! Sounds hilarious!![]()
I'm so glad to be back! Thanks for sticking with me.Great updates!!!! We have missed you![]()
Jenns are obviously awesome!!...I know. There's like a MILLION of us.
My kiddos are older (they'll be 15 and 11) and I just started getting all psyched for our next trip - it's been too many years! The photos and video are so freaking incredible and I love the posts. I could easily spend my life on this board but I won't...but I'm totally keeping up with your posts.
And...highlight of the posts for me so far...Behind the Seeds! I had already signed us up for that tour. I'm super excited and we are a total science nerd family (we watch NOVA and all things PBS-y all the time) so it's right up our alley.
No dining plan for us this time - that will be new...but I think it's the best bet this time around for budget reasons - anyway - love, love, love.![]()
No worries! I've been missing for a loooooong time, too!Hey Jenn! Sorry I've been MIA on the Dis for a while so it's taking me some time to catch up with everybody. We actually got a snow day today so what better way then to think warm thoughts of Disney!! Glad to see you all survived the Snowmageddon in GA. It's been an unusual winter for everyone, even in Virginia.
Anyhoo, love the Dessert party! It's my favorite part of the meal and how did you manage to keep it a surprise? I would have blown it! I'm not very good at keeping secrets when I'm excited
The Behind the Seeds tour looked really cool. Glad the girls really enjoyed themselves and learned some exciting things. I've always wondered if some of the tours were worth the extra money to do. Looks like this was a good one!
Well I'll try not to get so far behind now and can't wait to hear about more of your non-plans in EPCOT![]()
You have a very good memoryWell I didn't freak out after seeing you've updated but I was a little relieved, I'm a worrier I guess. (Though I did remember a hiatus last year around this time as well and was hopeful that was all this was..l:rolleyes )
Loved both updates! The no more paparazzi photo is perfect...enough.enough. I didn't know about that strawberry shortcake but it's on the list now, looks yum.
Ok, you know we all want to see the freak out video now, right? Some people.
Well I started writing about my disaster trip from your encouragement a couple months ago. Now that your back I need to really get started! I need to know I have one reader first, please?! JK- I'll get it posted soon, I need a little HTML help but I'm figuring it out!
I didn't even think they could be more obsessed with LWTL, but they totally were after this tour. There may be a niche market for this tour, but they were in it!The girls look like they really enjoyed BTS!! I thought it was fascinating...and as much as I loved LWTL before it gave us a whole new appreciation!
I hope you do it and enjoy it! It doesn't take up a ton of time or money, so it's perfect for a lazy Epcot day.The tour looks really interesting! I will have to add it to my list of things to do. I'm glad the girls liked it!
What!? Mickey shaped cucumbers!? If the girls had known that ever existed, they would have been upset, too! At least the regular cucumbers were still tasty. Do you think you've got it figured out? I purposely didn't point out which one she is, just to save her embarrassment in case for some weird reason she were to run across this. That being said, I could probably pick her out without knowing for sure. Draw your own conclusions, lol!!
