What little minor thing at WDW do you get a kick out of?

OK well, there should be a warning on this thread.

The smell of the roasted amonds and pecans at DS.

OK I must know where to get these? Fresh roasted almonds are one of my favorite things in the whole world... especially if they're salted! ;)

Please share where these are, so I can beeline right there!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Thanks!!

The new "wake up call" with Mickey apologizing and Stitch yelling at you to "Get Moving!!!"

I love it when the CM"s line up at the end of the night and wave good bye with the mickey hands. Espically in Epoct. I don't know why but it is just one of my favorite things.

This was the first thing that popped into my head when I read this forum. I love it when they hold the signs that read, "c-ya", "real", "soon".

There are so many to choose but since no one has said this one (I don't think) my family got a kick out of the signs on the back of the doors in the bathrooms by the Petting Zoo in the Animal Kingdom. The girls room had the "Scoop on Poop" and the boys had the "Wizz Quiz".

Another one of my favorites - seeing grown men walking around with Mickey Ears!

OK! I have NEVER seen this!!!! Please tell me when and where to see this!

The one where the water shoots up from underground in little jets - DD5 spent the better part of an afternoon playing there. She was the first one into the fountain, but she had attracted a swarm of other kids in no time flat. Before we knew it, there were 10 kids whooping it up in there and a Photo Pass photog snapping away.

I already posted, but another I had to mention!

Walking out of Epcot at night, just when you think the night is over...ahh, and the sidewalk lights up with stars around you as you walk.....

My eyes fill just thinking about it!

There are way too many things to mention, but my favorites are the lights in the pavement in Epcot and the music (especially at Epcot near the fountain).

At night when the lights in the cement are on and the music is playing, it makes me really remember all of the good times I've had with my family at WDW.

I listen to the Epcot park music as much as I can online.

We think alike Karla!

At the Tower of Terror I get a kick out of hearing some of the things that the CM's say at the ride elevators of your impending doom. For some reason I remember one that stood at the door after everyone was seated. Just as the door was ready to close, he asked(in a deep creepy drawn out voice) if anyone wish to leave and without hardly pausing, he said "too late" and the door closed.

My first time on TOT, the CM went through his usual spiel about buckling up, taking off your hat, etc. He turned to leave, but just as the doors were closing, with perfect time, he said "Oh, and one more thing you should know..." then the doors shut. Nice little touch of comedic timing.

If I might add another.

The thing that seems to be the coolest thing to me is the guard tower near the CR which allows access to the employee lot by space mountain. Cars are blocked from entering or exiting by large pieces of striped yellow and black steel. Once they are allowed through the steel pieces fold and retract into the ground so the cars may drive over them.

I think it's the coolest thing, but the rest of my family doesn't quite share my excitement. :confused3 I stare at the gates and hope a car is going in or out everytime I'm on the monorail traveling to the CR.

The doors in the queue line for Rock'n Rollercoaster that have all the marbles set into them. Everytime DH and I walk past them we have to run our hands over them. :earboy2:

I also am one who misses the old Zippity-doo-da jingle on the resort tv's.
"Have a zippity-doo-da, zippity---DAY!" That tv would come on everymorning before leaving for the parks just so we could hear that jingle!

I Agree!! I love this thread!

While I'm waiting in line with my kids to meet the characters I just love to watch the expressions of children when they meet the characters for the first time. It's so sweet...

Sitting with my wife in the UK gardens with a cup of coffee for a half hour or so after Illuminations - and no other guests.

Saying goodnight to each of the British CMs as they leave for the night.

I love the music on Main St. I love entering the Great Movie Ride. I love the little shop in frontierland that sells candy. I love the smell of the confectionary. I love right before you take of on RnR. I love this thread

There are two magical moments that come to mind. One is when you are wearing a name tag and a CM calls you by name. The other is the child sized furniture in front of the TV in the Beach Club lobby. I love WDW.

I'm not sure if this applies to Magic Kingdom. Disneyland, or both, but I love the ducks in the Rivers of America.

Didn't have time to read all of the posts so I hope I'm not repeating too much.

1. Love to go to MK first thing in the morning, go to the bakery for breakfast and sit outside while watching all of the happy faces come into the park.
2. Love the guy who stands outside on the Kilamanjaro safari ride at AK and waves the truck on. Not sure if they still do this. They didn't the last time I was there.
3. Love the sound of someone singing scales and tap dancing you hear when you sit under the window of the singing/dance studio in MK. Take the little alley to the right halfway down Main Street. It's on the 2nd floor on your left.
4. The person who has to come and clean up after the horses on Main Street in MK. Watched them once. Interesting...
5. Always get a kick out of, "Dead men tell no tales..." You know what I'm talking about. pirate:
6. I always get a kick out of the people who are on ToT for their first time and I tell them to keep their hands up. :bounce:
7. I like the hand dryers, too.
8. Talking trash can and talking water fountain at Epcot.
9. Haunted Mansion--inside and out. Enough said.
10. Staying on the property so you never have to leave the Disney Wall of Silence.

Shall I go on? :earboy2:

Headed back down next week. Can't wait.

It's kind of boring--but I love the Spaceship Earth dome! It is one of the first rides we do & the last one--this is despite getting stuck in it twice, once for over 20 minutes ( "Oom-ba-day Oom-ba-day!" )
the view of the castle gives me 'tummy tickles' & I get giddy with happiness! :cloud9:
hidden Mickeys--Mickey & Minnie's houses--love 'em!
gotta go now--cleaning house getting ready to leave for WDW this Friday, I'm so happy I could wet my pants! :rotfl:

What's the Disney Wall of Silence? Is that like the sign at the entrance to Grampa Simpson's Retirement Castle: "Thank you for not discussing the outside world."? :rotfl:
