This was inspired by a post by Margie J, but I couldnt fit it in the title :)

So what things have you kept that remind you of the good times, the bad times or that were given to you by past or present partners?

I have a small packet of yeast that my DH brought for me when I will ill over my 21st Birthday. A long story, but i had an opertaion the day before which made my 21st really grim. He asked what I wanted to do and I said make bread????? I think I was been sarcastic (SP?) as i really wanted to party but couldnt, but he turned up at my house with a packet of yeast so we could make bread together. We didnt make the bread, but i still have the yeast.

I also have a shell that I keep in my purse that he picked for me off the beach in Miami during the holiday that he proposed to me.

I have many others, i will post them as others post.

Anyone?

I have a paper cigar band my DH placed on my finger 33 years ago. (It has since been replaced with a wedding ring, but I love that cigar band!) :D

I have the love letters he wrote to me 28 yrs. ago. Also he bought me a fibrioptic lamp that was new technology at the time. It still works although it is in our bedroom now. There are other things but those stick out at the moment.

I just recently found a bottle of perfume that my boyfriend gave me for my 15th birthday~~~many moons ago. ;)

I have every love letter ever written to me! I'm a sap. ;)

Come to think of it, I have every little everything that was ever given to me by a significant other. Oh brother! I'm a terrible packrat! LOL :)

Would our 9 yo dd and our 6 yo ds count?;)

He wrote me a poem one time. I kept it in my wallet. My purse, which held my wallet, got stolen about 7 years ago.:(

i will have mine forever!! my boyfriend bought me my tattoo for our first valentines day.

I have a scrap book that I started when I was about 12 years old.

I thought it had gotten thrown away after I moved out of my Mom & Dad's house, but she brought it to me while visiting a few years ago!

I had not seen in since about 1980!

Inside were ticket stubs (one from our first date), brochures of places we had went as day trips, a few pictures and some other souvies from the time 1972-1979!

It also has some mementos from boyfriends before DH came along! DH is okay with it, because he knew them all (except for one) because we all grew up in the same neighborhood!

DH and I love looking back on that, because I kept every single ticket stub and pasted it to the page. Underneath I wrote what movie it was for, and the date!

There's also some postcards in there. Oddly enough there is one in there from when me, my younger brother my Mom and my Grandmother drove back from North Carolina to Pennsylvania.

We stopped at a Holiday Inn that is right in the town we live in now!

Who would've known I'd end up living here so many years later!

Oh, this is a sweet thread.

I have so many momentos, like Tia, I never throw anything out. My husband is big on writing letters and cards, he gives them to me all the time, for no special ocassion. I have little notes he has left in my lunch, or cards he has given me for my birthday, or letters he wrote me when we were dating. Probably 200 pieces of writing from him. He's really very romantic, I'm so lucky. :)

I also have alot of little gifts he has given me over the years. The one I treasure the most is this Celtic ring he bought me when we were very young, I think I was about 16 or 17 when he gave it to me. The symbol of this ring is unity, he put so much thought into it.

I have kept all the stuff dw gave me..ALL OF IT...
I have a schedule of her classes when she went to college..
Directions she wrote on a piece of cardboard to her house..
And a I Love you sign colored real nice..
that's just a few things.....
I have them hid in a secret hiding place...:o
My locker at work..:o

LOL! I have a cookie, from a GF from 1985!

She was the world's worst cook, bless her for trying...I have NO idea what she did, but these cookies came out SOOoooo hard....you'd have wanted a hammer to brake'm into "bite" size!

SOooo, I took one and coated it with alot of clear poly...but not without first taking a nail, cuting the point off, and fashioning some metal to make it appear as if the point end of the nail had just 'smashed' into the cookie, won't pentatrate it, and the metal 'fanned' out! LOL!! It was all in good fun...she thought it was a hoot! :)

I have the pieces left from a ring my DH made me from an acorn, back before we were engaged even. We were on a walk at a nature park and he made it for me. So it was about 30 years ago. Finally broke into three different pieces but I still have them!

This is a very cute thread...

I have some weird stuff..I have a label off a beer bottle from Germany, as my DH was stationed there when we were going together and he put one in a letter for me to see.

There are some seashells from our first ocean trip together in 85 as a family that he found for me...

I also have this rock with a fossil of sea animal in it we found along a dried up river bed here a few years ago. I keep all this weird stuff...anything he has given me in fact..love all that stuff.
