What kinds of cars have you picked at Emerald Aisle?

This is our first time using Emerald Aisle from National, and I am curious what types of vehicles they have there? I know it is intermediate size at a minimum, but have you ever been able to pick something nicer?

I can't answer your question, but just to add that I hope that there will be fule efficient vehicles available due to the price of gas. We have a 15 day rental and will be driving quite a bit.

I've been using National and the Emerald Aisle for the past 6 trips to Disney since 2000 and I have never ever gotten an upgrade. It's always been an Intermediate.

Really I am just excited to avoid the rental counter since dd3 and I will be arriving separately from the rest of our family and picking up the car. I just want it to be as easy as possible!

I have never been able to get an upgrade at the Orlando airport - only intermediate. I have gotten very lucky at other Florida airports. I've gotten vans at the airport in Tampa and West Palm Beach more than once. I love the Emerald Aisle!

We got a PT cruiser one time. The other 2 times I don't remember what we had, so it was probably an intermediate. There was a van there 1 time, but the door didn't seem to open and close correctly, so we opted for a "plain ole car".

I really don't care what kind of car we get, as long as we and the luggage all fit...I'm ready to go.....I love :cloud9: skipping the counter...and figure any fun car or upgrade is just a bonus to start the vacation!

We have gotten vans a couple times, PT cruisers show up once in a while. Last trip we got the new chevy HHR--which is chevy's version of the PT cruiser. It's the best part, picking your own car!!!

We got an intermediate and picked out a new Toyota Camry - nothing in the aisle that would be considered an upgrade that I noticed.... However, I was very happy with the camry since that is what I drive at home!!

National classifies a Camry as a fullsize, so it was an upgrade. I drive a Camry too, which I bought 2 years ago after renting one at National!

One time we picked up a Pontiac Aztec. There was a Sebring convertible EA another time I was there.

June 05 there were 3 minivans and 2 cars on the EA. We grabbed a Pontiac Montana with a dvd entertainment system! Awesome.

August 04 had a ton of intermediate cars. In-laws grabbed a PT Cruiser and we lucked out and grabbed a Impala that the attendant was just parking. It was loaded with low miles.... nice..

2 trips.... 2 upgrades! Gotta love it!
