We're in the market for a new car so curious what you like about the car/truck/SUV you drive. :)

Well, you asked a great question. I'm sure you'll get lots of good answers.

I drive an '06 Hyundai Sonata. I love it.

It's roomy. It has XM radio. The seats are very comfortable. I love that I only spend about $40 for gas every two weeks or so. I would say I do a bit of driving, about ten miles to and from work every day, plus for other errands.

Huge trunk. Smooth ride. Also, I think it has about eight airbags throughout. Lots of safety features. And, it was not a hugely expensive car, I lease for about $250/month, that includes the routine service. It compares well to others like it (Accord, Camry, etc).

Honestly, I love everything about it. It's a great car.

I drive a 1998 Chevy Silverado extended cab pickup. I have 140,000+ miles on it and have never had a problem. I have replaced the usual stuff that goes, like the alternator, water pump and A/C compressor, but in 9 years, it has never been in the shop for anything else. It still looks great and is a low maintenance vehicle (a big plus for me).

I like it because the gas mileage is decent, it rides well, and it is very practical for hauling everything from kayaks to fill dirt.

We have 2 vehicles we really love, but for different reasons.

In terms of gas milage, nothing beats our 03 Jetta TDI. We get approx 49 miles per gallon. It is a real money saver, considering my husband drives 80 miles a day!

I drive an '02 Land Rover Discovery. A gas-guzzler for sure, but it is awesome when we go camping. It can go anywhere....although, truthfully, we don't take it many places these days. Gas is just too expensive. Still, it's cheaper than a car payment (I drive very little, so I don't have to fill up very often) AND it is paid for!

We had a Honda Civic before the Jetta and loved it. Drove it, literally, to death!

I :drive: a Dodge Durango. I absolutely love it! We got the SLT with the 4x4, 5.7 liter HEMI engine. Very powerful, great for towing stuff (we have the tow package). Rides smooth, handles great.

The cons to it are obviously the gas mileage (only about 13 mpg in town, 18 hwy), and not a lot of rear cargo space.

I have a 2007 Honda Civic and just love it. Previously, I had the 2001 Honda Civic and loved it as well. My family has always done well with Hondas. They are extremely well built cars. Features I love include the GPS, roomy feel, great trunk space, and the layout of all the controls. Chances are in a few years, I will get another Honda. I just love these cars!:cool1:

I drive a 2005 Ford Freestar. I don't like the middle seat, it makes the van seem so cluttered - I would prefer the 2 chairs in the middle. Also, we didn't get the DVD player - major regret. I also don't think it gets very good gas mileage. We did get a good deal on it though! :woohoo:

Oh well, when I get a new car in 2 years, I'll put a lot more thought into it!

I drive a 2004 Pontiac Vibe, and I like:

gas mileage- gets about 35-37 MPG with a combo of highway and around town driving.

size- it's the perfect size for our 3 person family. Small enough to fit into "compact car" parking spots, big enough to fit lots of stuff in the hatchback.

storage- love the hatchback- has both full door lift, and glass only lift. Also, the back is not carpeted- it is hard plastic, so if you are carrying messy items, you can just sweep out any dirt/mulch/stuff that spills.

looks- it's cute! Almost looks like a teeny SUV or minivan.

maintenance- no problems in the 3 years I've had it. I just take care of routine maintenence, and I'm fine.

I drive an 07 Nissan Versa. I love the fact that it's ridiculously easy to park, but has a huge amount of leg/head/cargo room. It has great gas mileage, and it feels like much more than an economy car.

Same here and agree with all you say. DW drives the Durango. She won't let me near it.

I drive a Dodge Magnum. It is the coolest station wagon I have ever seen (well, as cool as a station wagon ever could be I suppose). It hauls butt too (Ka-chow)! Mileage is a joke though. Oh well.

Ford Expedition 2004 LOVE IT! Gas mileage isnt great of course , but im a sahm and live in a small town so it works for us. Its great because it holds alot of kids lol and we can haul our boat and will be buying a camper soon too. We also tend to be over packers so its great for trips!
It is packed to the top right now because we leave for WDW in a few hours WOO HOO!!!! We are camping so we need all that room for all our gear!

Mustang GT Convertible

Likes: It's real faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaast!!!!!!

Dislikes: It gets me in trouble.................

We drive a 2004 Dodge Durango 5.7 Hemi and I love everything about it except the gas milage. It is loaded, easy to maneuvre, smooth and just wonderful in every aspect.

We also have a 2006 Mazda 3. I really like that car too. But hey, you hardly can compare it to the Durango.

2004 Jeep Liberty .. Got it about 1 weeks ago.. Love it.. Love it.. Love it

Oh and its got a hidden mickey in the dash.. oh yeah:cool1:

2007 Ford freestyle 4x4 and I love it. It handles beautifully, better than my explorers seemed to. Great gas mileage (in comparison to bigger suv's). I can fit 7 comfortably if I have to (for real!)

Normally I have the third row folded down for stinky hockey bag. If the bag is there I can still go on a serious grocery store trip and still have room for everything w/o touching the second row seat. When having to cart my school stuff back and forth I love the fold down 2/3 layout for long things.

The only thing I don't like about it is the fact I didn't get a leather interior this time. Due to A plan/rebates/need a car now about to over mile issues I had to grab one fast off the lot. I ended up with most of what I wanted. I MISS MY LEATHER INTERIOR!

I drive an '02 Subaru Impreza Wagon. It gets pretty good mileage, around 30 mpg, so I fill up about every week and a half to two weeks (I have a 24 mile round trip commute to work, and do a lot of other driving).

Although it's called a "wagon" it's really a hatchback. It originally caught my eye because it looks like a stretched out Mini Cooper. :) It has tons of room in the back, which is good and bad, because it gives me a place to stow lots of junk that I really ought to clean out. Every seat is roomy (a real consideration since I'm 5'9" and DH is over 6 feet) and very comfortable. From the outside, however, it's nice and compact and I can get it into just about any parking spot I want! :thumbsup2

It's got good get up and go, which is fun, but has gotten me in trouble a couple of times with State Troopers. Oops.

I loooove my car, and I recommend them to people all the time.

99 Jeep Grand Cherokee Love it it goes anywhere and is great for our beat up city roads.

DW has a 93 Cherokee it's a bit tougher but hey they are both paid for and cost us very little to operate.

Then I have an Uplander as a company van and it's not that bad.

I really like the new Jeep lineups Maybe next year a new car for DW or if we can put it off another then DD can take over the 93 for her first car.

Well, you can't buy my car anymore, but I've been thrilled with it so far (knock wood!) It's a 2002 Pontiac Grand Am that the previous owner completely tricked out with chrome wheels, sunroof, windscreen thingie in front of the sunroof, super-dark tinting, etc., which looks good with its color (silver). It still gets good gas mileage, has PLENTY of head room (something I've become more aware of after nearly scalping myself on my mom's garage door opener while getting into her car last weekend :headache: ), and looks pretty, so I like it. :)

I purchased an 05 Prius this summer. Love it, Great gas mileage, comfortable interior, leather (need I say more) 6 disc changer. Don't have the backup camera. Oh well, guess you cannot have it all.

The biggest adjustment to me was going to a small car. I had a pacifica and before that a grand caravan.I have adjusted and am very happy with my car and even happier with the extra money in my pocket.
