What kind of transportation is there between the resorts?

I'm planning our trip, and I think we'll want to eat at the Yachtsman and Jiko. How can we get from the Grand Floridian to the AKL and Beach Club? Are there busses? Thanks!

No direct buses from one resort to the other. You can take a bus from your hotel to a park and then to another hotel depending on the time of day. Also you can take a bus to Downtown Disney and then take a bus to another hotel. An other option is a taxi, which is by far the easiest, costs about $15 one way.

Sorry to report there are no busses between resorts. But the GF is a good place to connect!

For Jiko, take the momorail to the MK and get a bus to AKL.

For Yachtsman I'd suggest a bus from GF to the Studios and then walk or take the boat from the Studios to the YC.

Enjoy!

Resort to resort transportation is via Downtown Disney and this isn't a fast way to go. If you're staying at the GF, your best bet might be to go to MK park and catch a direct bus to AKL or YC from there. Good luck!

I never recommend trying to eat at another resort unless you plan on the closest theme park. For example, if you want to eat at the AKL plan on being in the AK for that part of the day. For the Beach/Yacht clubs, Boardwalk, or Swan/Dolphin plan on either the Studios or Epcot. From either you can walk to the boardwalk area (where all these resorts are located) or take the Friendship boats. The walk from the Epcot International Gateway to this area is 10-15 minutes tops. From the Studios about 25 minutes. The boats run all day between Epcot and the Studios stopping at all three resorts along the way.
If you wanted to eat at any of the MK resorts plan on the MK for that part of your day. Do not waste time trying to get from one resort to the other for a meal. If you use a theme park to break it up you will be much happier.

As BobP said, the GF is a good resort to be at if you want to visit other resorts at least during MK park hours. This is also true of the Polynesian and CR.

I would just make sure you will finish your meal while the MK is still open. Then it really shouldn't be too bad to either Y&BC or AKL. Just take the monorail to the MK and catch the bus to the resort. Returning, take the bus to MK and then I would take the little boat back to the GF. You can also take the monorail of course.
