What kind of tix due to no more no expiry?

We used to get AP's but now with the number of activities our kids our involved in, I don't see us getting 4-5 trips out of AP's. 10 day no expiry tix would be the next best, but with those gone, what to do? How are others handling this? I can't see us taking last minute short week trips without an AP or without a 10 day that we could use a day or 2 on? I guess we will have to start buying the exact number of days that we need???

The No Expire option is currently still available. It's just not available on purchases using the new version of disneyworld.com. Tickets purchased from Disney by phone or on-property still have the option available if you ask. Authorized resellers like Undercover Tourist still have MYW tickets with the No Expire option also.

My guess is that Disney makes more money off of tickets that expire so they used the website changing to drop them from the line up.

Anyone not in the know won't ask so this is their way of removing the product without having to come right out and make a negative announcement.

The authorized resellers like UCT still list them for sale. We just finished buying enough to take us through 2020.

We stocked up once it was announced as those 10 day plus water park option sometimes last us over several trips and the cost per day is awesome!! Once those run out I am not sure what we will do!!

If they remove the no expire option altogether, my husband will drop the parks pretty quick. He can only get away from work once a year and the cost of 5 or 7 day tickets each year ( especially with annual increases ) is getting prohibitive. Buying one 10 day PH no expire lasts him about three years. Any idea when they are dropping them for good? We can't buy one now, we were thinking just before our November trip. I have an AP as I can get here a few times a year.

There's been no announcement about them, and they are still avaiable.

I think it was Cheshire_Figment who mentioned that there are simply a LOT of people who buy them erroneously, just wanting them to not expire *before they take their trip*, so they are trying to make sure they TALK to someone before that someone buys something they might not need.

Honestly there is simply not enough information at this time about Fastpass+ to know for sure. There has to be a reason they dropped it from the website and sorry but I am not buying the line of people were buying the option without knowing what was involved. I would imagine most book their Disney trips either through Disney or a travel agent, which both should have been able to explain ticket options.

I was told there was simply not enough demand for them. So there are conflicting stories as to why they removed them.

We currently have 16, 10 dayers and 6 AP's. That' s good for 3 adults for at least 7 years, probably more because we go into the parks less and less as time goes on unless we are using an AP. We rotate the AP stays and the 10 dayers so that we spend more park time during the AP cycle and less during the 10 dayer cycle.

You know change can be a good thing most of the time , but this thing with the park tickets is not. Disney screwed us all a few years back when they last changed the ticket format doubling the cost of them for the most part . now here we go again .

By your post I am guessing you can buy AP's now and not validate them for a few years is that correct? If so I need to consider doing that!

That is correct. You can buy an annual pass online... as many as you want. You'll then get a voucher that you can hang on to forever to turn in at any time to get the actual annual pass.

The 1 year clock on your annual pass doesn't start until you turn in the voucher.
