What kind of "stylish" walking shoes do you wear to WDW Parks?

Obviously, NOT Crocs.......... the poor ugly shoe.......... a shoe only a mother could love! LOL

LOL, I don't know.. the more I look at my pink ones, the cuter I think they are! :cool1:

Puma shoes. You can get a lot of cute ones at Zappos.com
They are very light and so comfy. I didn't even have sore feet in the slightest when I went with mine last year.

I would not recommend buying from Puma.com though. If you ever have to return it litereally takes 8 weeks to get a refund and their customer service is not so hot. Zappos.com is the way to go and they usually have free shipping.

I bought all-leather New Balance. Nice but, summer at Disney, no good. Sweaty, itchy!!!

I am in the market for something meshy but with good support. Even something backless so I can slip them off during Pirates of the Carribean or It's a Small World - let the air conditioning get to em!

Good point about Soarin and backless shoes. I was talking with a cast member who was getting his hair cut at the same time my son was at the barber shop on Main Street, and he warned us about shoes slipping off.

I've given up on my Birks. Even they gave me blisters after a hard day at the parks! Gonna try something from Lands End myself.

Happy Feet = Happy Park Hopping!!

Im really worried about blisters and aching feet so have decided to take lots of shoes so i dont get stuck with one pair that hurt.

I usually take my Clarks plus a pair of Bass slides with driving moc bottoms. I end up wearing the Clarks 95% of the time, and the other shoes maybe out to dinner or short trips only. My Clarks also dry out very quickly if they get wet

In Sept I wore my broken in Skechers tennis shoes & had nothing but feet pains & problems. For our trip this January, I brought down a new pair of New Balance running shoes & Asics running shoes. The New Balance were my favorite, but the Asics were pretty good, too. Both were much better than my Skechers.

In May, I'll be bringing the same 2 pairs of running shoes & a new pair of sandals - they're Timberland, but very similar to a Teva type sandal. I also bring some comfy flip-flops for some rainy days, or to run to the pool, but can usually only wear them half a day.

I agree with previous posters, as much as I still try to look nice at WDW, I must wear comfy shoes. Your days will be so much happier if your feet are happy. :teeth:

I had plantar fascitis, heel spurs, tremendous pain in my arches to the point it where I would have unbearable pain getting on my feet in the morning. But yet I made it through 5 days at WDW with a tremendous smile on face. I just love the place, always have.
I wore TEVA hiking sandals, great arch supprt, velcro, pretty light weight with a thick sole. I also wore New Balance cross trainers with an added heel cushion.
I generally shy away from sandals over long periods cause I hate getting blisters, but these were great.

There's a health shoe store near me and they also recommend birkenstocks[spell?].

I am a fan of the good, old fashioned Keds. They are not "stylish" but they do look very cute with shorts and are very comfortable. I debated long and hard before I picked them up for my Disney trips but I am happy I did. I can walk for hours with no problem. For me,flip flops kill so I need a sneaker!
:teeth: Me too. I just bought a new pair that are like mules (no back) since this is what I wear day in and day out. They are so cushiony on the inside and have an arch support. I'm taking those, a regular pair of Keds and a pair of sandles for out of the park experiences. :Pinkbounc

dont know if thats in your price class (shouldnt sound arrogant, just refers on how much money you spend on shoes) but i wear DSquared² sneakers, have 3 pair of them, cost ~ 310 $ though... look for them at ebay or www.dsquared.it

I have some Nike stability running shoes- the mesh part is real thin and vented, so I get a little breeze when I walk. :goodvibes They're white, with silver and pink.

I also love my plain old white New Balance. Personally, I can't walk around those parks in anything but tennis shoes.

I plan to go shopping to find some comfortable sandals - I'll take a look at the sketchers ones. I'm going to look at sneakers also. I want something lightweight and airy since it's going to be hot. Shoes are the worst thing to pack on a vacation - they take up so much room in the suitcase :) I have to remember to pack some shoes for PI night as well - if I can figure out what to wear LOL!

What's up w/ Sketchers? I must say that I have tried them on and not been impressed. Maybe I'm too pickey when it comes to tennis shoes. So why do you all love them? I must be missing something. Thanks! This is not a put down. I'm truely curious.

Even though I've never been a runner, I always buy Nike running shoes. Any of the Air Max or Air Shox are cool looking and comfy. I always make sure to break them in well before a trip though (which is not hard b/c I hold on to my fav tennies til they are falling apart. I have separation anxiety I guess).

I also have several pairs of flip flops that I've broken in, which are very comfy. I can wear these all day and not have any soreness. Here are my favorite flops from American Eagle. The corduroy sole really makes a difference comfort-wise.
