Can anyone tell me the best pens to buy if I want to get them on a matte to frame with a picture inside??? I would love to get a lot of colors to add color to it really.. like blue, red, green, orange etc..

What is your opinion?

Is this for characters? What a great idea! Just remember, tho, that they have those HUGE gloved hands and don't write small.

that is true!!! My little princess would just be fine with Snow White Cinderella etc... that is a good point made. thanks.

I'm doing this very thing when we go this week. I bought an oversized matte (11x14) with a 5x7 opening and a package of multicolored sharpies. I also bought a 12x12 plastic scrapbook kit cover with a flap and a string. The flap is large enough to go over the 14" side and I can still close it with the string. I thought the colors should be:
red - Minnie
black - Mickey
blue - Donald
green - Goofy
Orange - Pluto
I also have purple, yellow, and brown. Perhaps brown would be good for Chip and Dale. My picture is for boys so we don't really want any princesses. I'll post when we get back next wed (28th) and let you know how it goes.

I make my own autograph books and I have the charectors that don't have the gloved hands and such sign with a sharpie. I have different colors for different charectors and it has worked out quite well. I got the idea b/c Mad Hatter actually used a red sharpie to sign my book one time. This year I am using ZIG markers, they are acid free, fade resisten scrapbooking markers that are very similar to sharpies and come in alot more colors than sharpies and will write smoothly on most surfaces. The "ink" flow is really even, too and don't require shaking or pumping to get it started. Almost all Wal-Marts sell a starter pack of primary colored ZIGs in the scrapbook aisle in the craft section.

BWT when I had the disney standard auto book, the sharpie didn't bleed onto the next page, but I could have just got lucky. Those pages are so thin I would leave a page or two between.
