Hi all,

Staying first time in DVC at SSR in August. Are there any organized kid activies at the resort? I know most timeshares offer these. My 5 year old loves them. Let me know!

Thanks!

There are lots of arts and craft activities at the community hall. Some are free, for others there was a minimal charge. When we were there last Oct. they had ceramics, hats and different types of activities every day. You can check for a list. Our niece and nephew loved going there. I also remember a bingo game at the main pool one afternoon. My niece won a prize for bingo. Have fun.

When you check in, your packet will contain the weekly newsletter called "Horsin' Around". This will list the activities, their times and if a cost is applied to them. The cost is usually minimal and covers the cost of the item they will decorate.

I don't have little ones but was checking out a DVD and saw lots of kids making ceremics and birdhouses I think. Also at the main pool they had a "round up" where they threw little plastic horses in the pool and let the kids hunt for them. They did this quite a few times and if a kid didn't want to dive for the horses, they let them help throw them into the pool.

what age group are these for

vandy,

Are you able to scan the horsin around schedule in and e-mail it to me? I tried calling Saratoga springs for a schedule. They said they'd fax it but never did? Thanks!

We were at the main pool appx 1/2 hour before it "officially" opened, and they had a derby race (with four or five plastic horses and a pair of dice). The first one to the finish line was the first to ride the water slide for the day!!! All of the participants received a cute little necklace with a winner chocolate medallion on it.
