I swear I get asked this about a million times a day when I meet someone new. Is it just like a generic question that everyone asks? Lol. I never know what to tell them.

I liked spunky, airy, kind of music. Like Colbie Caillait and Vanessa Carlton. What genre would you put that in?

Anyway, what kind of music do you like?

Definitely alternative. I branch out in that genre, and I can get into anything from old-school punk to new wave stuff to 80s hair stuff.

I enjoy some of the pop stuff from time to time.

Free-spirited, cultural, spring/summer, just the right temperature music.

African drums, Put your records on by Corinne Bailey Rae, any world music really.

Soundtrack.
That stuff can be emotional, fun, happy, sad, anything.
Musical, it's just fun.
Music and movies are my two favorite things.
I like some classical.

usually i listen to harder rock like saliva, linkin park, papa roach... that kinda stuff.
but i was raised on 80s music, so i LOVE billy idol, boston, bon jovi, all that.
but i can listen to screamo and when i'm in a sensitive mood i listen to john mayer and all that.
i like anything but rap basically.

::yes:: That's what I like.

i just love music in general.

i love mason jennings, ben folds, regina spektor for the lighter more laid back tones.

i love 311 for a good beat to dance to.

mostly acoustic stuff though.

Basically just the stuff that makes you want to run around in fields, on dirt roads with your friends, and dance with cool air, a light wind and sunshine. And a lot of the African drums and like tribes singing invigorates me and makes me feel really happy and good.

I associate a lot of my music with weather and places. Lol.

I like showtunes a lot.
I also like classic rock and just any kind of chill music.
I also enjoy some classical.

I listen to Rock stuf like Linkin Park

I'm not quite sure what Tokio Hotel come under

And I LOVE Bullet For My Valentine which are put in metal but some songs aren't that bad

baroque pop (the decemberists, rufus wainwright)
garage rock revival (the strokes, the vines, the hives)
:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Classic Rock.
And shamefully, I don't mind Britney Spears :rotfl: I can go quite easily from listening to Led Zeppelin's Song Remains the Same to Womanizer. It's shameful!

But basically I like everything and anything. I go through phases of loving, Bowling for Soup, Coldplay & U2.

But I have and always will love Led Zeppelin and bands of that genre and era.

Lots of different stuff,

my FAVOURITE would be the islandy-mellow tunes of Jack Johnson.
And the chill indie-poppy-alt rocky-mix mash stuff of Mason Jennings, Ben Harper, Matt Costa, Donovan Frankenreiter, G Love, all the Brushfire Records people pretty much.

And I also love oooooold school jazz-y stuff from the 30s-50s like Artie Shaw, Count Basie, Tommy Dorsey, Vera Lynna, The Rat Pack, Perry Como, Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald, The Glenn Miller Orchestra

I like alot of classic rock/rock-n-roll as well from Elvis, The Rolling Stones, to Kansas, Journey, etc.

And I like alot of softer hip-hop stuff, like Nappy Roots, Kanye (NOT 808s & Heartbreak though!!), and electro-hip hop stuff like Beastie Boys & Chromeo sort of stuff.

I honestly like EVERYTHING, from Kings of Leon to John Mayer to Belle & Sebastian to Rufus Wainwright to Jay-Z....so much stuff!

Jack Johnson is the besttt.

We like a lot of the similiar things. I'm also a fan of old school jazz. :)
