What kind of info comes in your docs?

Hi,

We will be leaving on our first Disney cruise on May 15th & haven't received docs yet. Everyone has started to talk about it. Wondering what comes in your docs?

We are going on that cruise, & we have gotten our docs. This will be our 3rd cruise. You get all your tickets, & the papers that need to be filled out like the info for your charges, & I'm not sure exactly what all else. Your luggage tags are also in there. Everything is delivered in an envelope that looks like a luggage trunk. Very exciting! I don't really remember what all is in there, just know that it is the docs we need to go on the cruise!

Hope you get yours soon!

FYI - I've been told that while some people do get their docs early, most are sent out for you to get w/in 10-14 days before you cruise. I'd start to worry at the beginning of May.

Since I've got mine here in front of me for the May 15th cruise...I can answer this!! You get a little booklet for each person going on the cruise (about the size of a checkbook) and in each booklet is the forms to fill out, the itinerary, two preprinted luggage tags and then pages and pages of the cruise Terms and Condition Contract. There's also a pamphelt on gifts that can purchased along with another small book called the Passport to the Wonder that is full of general information.

Oh...and there's Immigration forms for the Bahamas stuffed in (and when I say stuffed in...I mean it...ours are all crinkled and wadded up...!).

That's it! We're on a land and sea package for 4 nights before the cruise and other than a mention of the hotel name on the itinerary...there's nothing in the docs about the land portion. Darn it! I was hoping for park maps and stuff like that!

It's still VERY EXCITING to get our docs and know that our first trip to the World and our very first Cruise is getting so close!!!!

And for anybody who hasn't gone before, I would strongly encourage you to get as much of those fillled out in advance as you can. Trust me, it will heighten your enjoyment and your relaxation on your arrival day by leaps and bounds.

Disney does give you some time on the bus ride (if that's your transportation option) from the airport to fill out the paperwork, but I figure I'm like most people in that I'd rather have it done before then, so I can sit and enjoy the scenery and just chill out.

We are on the same cruise. We are also doing the land portion before the cruise.
Our docs are in too!!:cool1:

Anyone did port check in? How do I get my luggage to the porters without luggage tags?

Bump, I'd like an answer to the port side checkin question too.
thanks

You can also call Disney to ask them to send them out a week or so sooner. The average time (they told me) was 2 weeks prior to cruising more or less, but we are going to WDW also, a week before the cruise. I was worried that I would not be around when they were sent and I also wanted to have plenty of time to check over everything and sign what is needed.
They had no problem noting that I have requested mine about 3 weeks prior to cruising...so we'll see!

Hi all we are going on the May 15th cruise and cannot wait we live in the UK and this will be our first Disney Cruise there will be just me and my husband i hope we won't look strange having no children with us be we both love Disney and were there last year we have been to Los Angeles twice and Diisney Paris about 4 times i hope we meet some of you good people if anyone has any tips i would be grateful and we have not had our documents yet

I noticed a few questions that DCL used to ask in the docs that were missing this time when I completed them last Saturday.....

such as , 1) How many times have you cruised with us before?2) How many times at WDW or DL? 3) when was most recent cruise?

Also, if I recall, DCL used to ask for your car tag number if you were parking at the port...this time, i didnt notice this request in the docs....

I booked with Costco travel. Costco said there's no way that docs will arrive earlier than 10 days before the cruise. I leave my home 2 weeks before the cruise. They told me to do port check in. After thinking about it my friend will be leaving a few days after me. I called Costco to request they send docs to her ( since I'll see her before I board). They said they couldn't change anything once they told Disney. Well, I called Disney..they informed me that Costco could change it until the docs were mailed. Don't feel like arguing with Costco again about sending out docs early so I'll just hope they send them to my friend. Hope this helps someone who booked with Costco. Be persistant they can do a lot of things. I guess this is just the price we pay for getting a better price. Thank god for the DIS boards. I'd be lost without them.

There will be four of us, adults, on the May 15th cruise, with NO children either. My sister won the cruise off a radio station and of course being a wonderful sister she is taking me and my husband----well--- we made a deal---whoever wins we would take each other. She is just luckier than I am when it comes to having your name pulled out of a barrell with more than 300 names in it!!Anyways, we are on Deck 1 room 1072. I have been researching the threads for awhile now and there is sooo much helpful info out there. I can't wait until I can help someone out after our cruise. See you on the ship!!

Hope all works out! I was impressed with how helpful they were!
