What kind of food do you feed your dog?

Yes, just say no to low calorie diets. A sales gimmick and nothing more - my vet steers people away from them and instead to a high quality diet with a lower portion size and green beans. Green bean diet is the way to go! It's low calorie but they feel full. Just replace part of your kibble with green beans and the weight will shed.

Nature's Recipe by Nutros. I have a black lab and she is healthy, not overweight and has a beautiful coat.

My dog is really picky. She is very thin. She will pick through her food and put aside what she doesn't like. She loves vegitables, frozen or fresh.

Anyone else have a really picky dog that is now happy with their dog food?

Another blue buffalo home here. My dog had horrible issues with her food. We tried many different brands and Blue Buffalo was the first that didn’t make her sick. :thumbsup2

Have you tried pouring chicken broth over the food? It'd be hard for her to pick out the kibble if all of it was covered in something she liked. I hate to cater to dogs... but I've had a few fosters that were underweight and would cater to them until they were healthier. With one, I mixed in wet food into the dry food so she would eat both. If I just put the wet on top of the dry, she ate the wet and left the dry but if I mixed it all together she'd eat both.

Winston is my picky dog - I didn't cater to him but he would often leave his food and go on a hunger strike. He LOVES the new food we put them on - it's grain free, sold only at some Costco stores (soon to be all of them) - called Nature's Domain salmon and sweet potato. http://naturesdomainpetfood.com/

Thanks - I will have to try this. We have mixed other items with the food. She often ignores it entirely. Hopefully this will work.

My dog was on B.G. (Before Grain) by Merrick for about a year. She seemed bored with it (as she was always more interested in eating my brother's dogs food) after awhile so I switched to Evo small bites red meat by Innova. I buy the biggest bag for about $55 but it lasts about 4 months (I break the big bag down into Ziploc big freezer bags so the food stays fresh). She seems to like it more.

For those that don't know and use Natura products (Innova, Evo, California Natural, etc.) if you go to the Natura website (www.naturapet.com) and go to "Contact Us" there's a drop down for "coupons". Fill out the form and in a few days they send you two coupons, one for $5 off and one for $3 off any Natura dog food.

I feed Innova small bites. :thumbsup2

NeverlandClub, Thanks for the coupon tip!
