We are off to Disney in less than two weeks and I'm down to the crunch. I want to bring some dry foods with us in our checked luggage, staying onsite, using ME. Don't want to do a grocery shop if I can avoid it. We are crossing the border by car then flying out of Albany. I am hoping to be able to bring dry cereal (no fruit in it), granola bars, pringle chips etc. Anyone have any experience with this. Don't want to pack it then have it thrown out by the person checking our luggage.

Also, anyone know if we can take licorice on the plane? What about M&M chocolates, ring-pops?

Thanks for the help.

I always pack food with me and as long as it is packaged you should be okay. I've taken cereal bars (including ones with fruit), granola bars, fruit leather etc.
For the plane the only restrictions on food should be liquids.

We took lots of stuff on the plane. Just no liquids, jello, pudding, yogurt etc! The only problem you might have is everyone will see all your yummy treats and longingly look at them until you share :rotfl2:

Last August I took cereals, soy milk, fruit source and fruit to go bars, granola bars and rice crackers. We had no problems at all.

I've packed soy milk in tetra packs, fruit leathers, cereal, bottled water, granola bars, hot chocolate, fruit cups, cheese and breadsticks and oatmeal without any problems. I just made sure everything was sealed.
