What kind of fairy did you sing in 'Little Bunny Foo Foo'?

Sang it in the 70s. Good fairy. And she said:
Little Bunny Foo Foo, I don't want to see you
Scooping up the field mice and bopping them on the head.
I'll give you 3 chances, and if YOU disobey ME, I will turn YOU into a Goon.

Little Bunny Foo Foo hopping through the forest
Scooping up the field mice and bopping them on the head
Down came the goooooood fairy, and she said:
Little Bunny Foo Foo, I don't want to see you
Scooping up the field mice and bopping them on the head
I'll give you three chances to be good, but if you don't I'll turn you into a gooooooon!

The next day,
Little Bunny Foo Foo hopping through the forest
Scooping up the field mice and bopping them on the head
Down came the goooooood fairy, and she said:
Little Bunny Foo Foo, I don't want to see you
Scooping up the field mice and bopping them on the head
I'll give you two more chances to be good, but if you don't I'll turn you into a gooooooon!

The next day,
Little Bunny Foo Foo hopping through the forest
Scooping up the field mice and bopping them on the head
Down came the goooooood fairy, and she said:

I gave you three chances to be good, now POOF, you're a gooooooon!

You forgot the end: moral of the story is, hare today, goooooooooooon tomorrow!

My aunt sang it in the early 70's. Little RABBIT Foo-Foo...Good Fairy..."and she said 'If you don't behaaaave, I'm gonna turn yoooouuuu into a GOON!'"

And yep, don't forget the moral.

Bunny Foo Foo was a bully and a menace.

That's what my sister thought. :rolleyes::rotfl:

She song it to her kids, "...scooping up the field mice and kissing on the head..."

I never heard it before she song it to them and that was only the 1st verse which made no sense in the way she song it!

You forgot to include the moral of the story....
Hare today, goon tomorrow. Lol

:rotfl: I'd never heard that...too funny!

I learned Little Bunny Foo Foo and Alice The Camel in Campfire Girls in the late 70's, early 80's. Never heard of Missy Susie.

We always sang:
Down came the goooooood fairy, and she said:
Little Bunny Foo Foo, I don't like your attitude
Scooping up the field mice and bopping them on the head

"Don't like your attitude" and gooood fairy were the way I heard it also.

~~~
This is the first time I've heard all the words to this song.
With all the Boo Boos and Moo Moos and Doo-Dooms on the CB, Little Bunny Foo Foo would have to be sung by the Tag Fairy.
"Hare today, goon tomorrow" was the first pun I ever understood :)
Anyone remember the even more sinister:
In a cabin in the woods,
hunter by the window stood,
saw a rabbit hopping by,
knocking at the door.
"Help me! Help me! Help!" he said.
"Or the hunter shoot me dead!"
"Little rabbit, come inside - safely you'll abide..."
Creepy :) There were hand motions to go with it, too.
We always sang it as Fairy the Godmother. "down came the fairy godmother..." and Rabbit Foo Foo.
:blush: Sorry for leaving off the moral.
I've been a Girl Scout for many many years...both as a Scout myself and now as a leader for my daughter (who is bridging to Cadette this year). I know LOTS of silly songs.
I had ever heard of Little Bunny FOO FOO till my middle DD now mid 30's was in preschool where she learned the song. She still remembers all the words today.
There was a time period that Bunny FOO FOO lived in her belly an she would not eat anything Bunny Foo Foo did not like.
Did Bunny Foo Foo actually have a sister?
Bunny Foo Foo stayed with DD for a couple of years. DD said He had to go live with another little girl an help her not be scared at night etc an his sister I dod not remember her name came to live with DD for a short while to help her get over loosing Bunny Foo Foo.
I just always thought it was DD's way of weaning herself from Bunny Foo Foo.
Oh where you pat stomach at the end like you just ate the rabbit??? :lmao: Will teach my boys that this summer!
OK, so here it is off the top of my head....
"Little cabin in the woods. (square motion)
Little man by the window stood. (hand over your eyes and looking back and forth)
Saw a rabbit hopping by, knocking on my door. (two fingers for ears and then knock motion).
Help me, help me, help me he cried. (jazz hands with each help me)
Or the hunter shoot me dead. (gun pointing with fingers in a semi circle)
Little rabbit come inside. (hand motion to come in)
Safely to abide. (rub your tummy)"
Hey, I don't think it was creepy.:lmao:
Editing add...you are supposed to then be silent for each line, sing the rest, and so forth, and sing the rest only doing the hand motions. Eventually you will only be doing the hand motions for the song.
How about "Bear went over the mountain" (where he barfed all up the girl scouts?):rotfl:
Or "Boy and a girl in a little canoe"?
My dd's liked the "bazooka bubblegum".
Oh yea, I have a million.:rotfl2:
:)
That's just wrong. :eek:
Bunny Foo Foo ..... Doooown came the Good Fairy......I'll give you 3 chances, but if you don't obey me, I'll turn you into a goon.
We said the down starting high and getting low with our voices and emphasized the you and me.
Both Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts liked the Buffalo Song:
Way out on the burning desert where there's hardly a beast or a man
A buffalo spied his brother a layin' on the burning sand.
Said the buffalo to his brother, "Why do you lay that way?"
But his brother didn't answer. He'd been dead since way last May!
A very macabre song. It had motions and everyone fell down and played dead at the end. The kids LOVED it.
It was Good Fairy when I was growing up. And yes, Bunny Foo Foo is a bully and a menace. And the Farmer's Wife practices animal cruelty. Mother Hubbard is guilty only of animal neglect. Whoever puts their baby on a bough to rock would have them taken away by CPS. Don't even get me started about the Old Woman Who Lives in a Shoe.
You posted just before I did! I've never met someone who I didn't go to camp with who knew this song! My version's a bit different, though, and it's called The Washington Waddle (there's a dance to it and everything).
Please! The field mice totally deserved their bopping. They've been tormenting Bunny Foo Foo for years. But like in so many other cases, the Good Fairy only sees the retaliatory strike and Bunny Foo Foo takes the fall while the field mice get off with only a bit of a headache.
Now poor BFF is stuck being a goon for eternity. Just sad. :sad2:
:lmao: "art" imitating life.
