I want to buy DS and DD a pair of Crocs for the Summer for the beach and pools.

I'd love to know what kind other 2 year olds have and also, how do they run?
DS is a 7.5 and DD is a 6 in shoes. What size Crocs to get?

Thanks!!!

my kids have the beach/caymans (I forget which as they look the same). But I found they come off and trip the boys up quite a bit when running. I tried out the croc sandal style and found they are working really well. I don't know the exact style name but it was the only velco sandal that I saw online by Crocs.

ok I'm still tired from our trip! LOL They run big and in 2 sizes. So they run 3/4, 5/6, 7/8. I think that's the pairing. If the one in a size 6 is more 6.5 ish then size up. But the one in the 7.5 should be good in the 7/8

My 2 year old daughter had the Croc sandals, not sure what they are called.
The have velcro straps which you can adjust and they fit her really well

My 2 year old (almost 3) has been wearing Crocs Caymans since he was 1 and has never had a problem with them. He has several pairs and loves them!

AND, I just bought some more from Crocs' website in their oulet section. They have Disney ones (Mickey head silhouettes instead of holes) for only $15!! The colors are super cute too (they are two-color)! My son wears a 4/5 and there was availability in almost every color...so I bought 2 pairs. :)

There is also a sizing chart you can print from their website that should help you with your size question.

My almost 2 year old is wearing the Disney Minnie Janes style crocs. She does fall some in them, but pretty well. She wears a 6 in most shoes, and has a 4/5 in the crocs. They fit fine. We tried the 6/7 on her and they were huge.

The Crocs site has a downloadable and printable size chart. I'd use that. When we first got DS his Disney Caymans, he was too big for one size, but too small for the other. We had to wait to give them to him until his feet had grown a bit, and then he had to wear thick socks (thankfully we live in the pac NW where you're not shunned for wearing wool socks with sandals like that, LOL). Crocs are supposed to fit loosely all around.

That said, he was 3 when we got them for him. At 2 he was still mainly wearing the biggest Robeez and then See Kai Run, because the soles were nice and pliable. I waited for Crocs and even Stride Rite until he was really firm on his feet when walking and running, because I didn't want any thick soles tripping him up.

however, I just saw on the Crocs site that they are making little tennis shoe style crocs now, and that's just too cute!

My DS has these Otter

Love them!

My kids couldn't seem to handle crocs at 2. They seemed to trip in them an awful lot.

At that age I loved the water shoe sandal type shoes that they sold at the children's place. I don't know if they still have them, but they worked well for us.

DD3 did great in the mammoths this fall/winter and more recently the Crocklings. They're nice because they have the stretchy strap around the ankle to keep them from being as floppy as they Caymans.:thumbsup2

Croclings. They stay on much better on little feet. Youngest DD has had several pairs, and she lives in them.

I find they run true-to-size, maybe a mite big. DD is in a size 10.5, and this year's Croclings are a size 10-11. She has lots of room in them, but last years 8-9 were too small.

dd who was 2 last summer wore disney caymens and the disney minnie mary janes. Although I preferred the look of the mary janes she managed much better in the caymens, she would wear them for longer, not trip as much, etc. I'm just waiting for our new ones to arrive this year :goodvibes
