What kind of cars at DOLLAR rental?

We always rent a minivan from Dollar. This time we were able to get a full size car for real cheap (154.00 week) DODGE CHARGER or SIMILAR. Anyone know what the SIMILAR is. I heard FORD EDGE. Also can you pick your own car out now or do they still assign you a specific car. Thanks 10 days and counting till 11 days at SSR

I don't believe the Ford Edge would be considered a car. I think it is more of a crossover, and I don't believe I've ever seen Ford products at the MCO Dollar. All I have ever rented from them have been Dodge/Chrysler products. I would imagine that a similar car to a Charger might be a Chrysler 300?

As far as picking your own car I don't know if they do that now or not. I know in the past I have just gone up to the counter and requested that if they had a specific car that is what I'd prefer (e.g. Chrysler T&C van as opposed to a Dodge Caravan).

Dollar has always assigned a specific car to me a car in Orlando. The first time I signed the paperwork at the counter in the terminal and then brought the paperwork to the garage where they pointed me to the correct stall where the car was waiting. The second time, I was sent directly to the garage where I was assigned the car.

Yes, we have rented a full size from Dollar and gotten the Chrysler 300, I love that car!
