Okay, we are cheap and want to bring beer with us. But we dont want everyone to know how cheap we are and figured if we brought the same kind that is sold on board then maybe no one would notice ( we wouldn't bring it into the dining rooms, we aren't that bad). Just for by the pools.

So what kind of beer do they have and is it cans or bottles or both?

Also is the only bottled water Evian? anyone remember what size bottles?

Thanks :blush:

I always bring a couple cases of my favorite beverages on board....miller lite in the can. I use a carry on suitcase with wheels. I works perfect to load all of the souvineers that DDs and DW purchase on shore.

We aren't cruising until May, so I don't know how beers/water are served, but it's my understanding that it is permissible to bring beer/wine/liquor/water in your carry-on bags. Bring a couple of plastic cups as well, and I can't imagine you'd have any problems.

Thanks, I know we are allowed to bring it on and planed the load up the suitcase (cary-on) with beer and then load it up with stuff we buy also.

But I wanted to know what brands domestic/imported they sell on the ship and if they have bottles or cans,so when you all see us you won't realize that we are the cheepskates who brought their own beer on the ship :blush:

I know for sure they have bottled Corona :) I remember ordering a miller, and it was in one of those small plastic bottles. We usually drank the Corona because they have these neat bucket specials.

Maybe you do not want to hear this, but we were also kind of weary of walking around with what we had bought beforehand. All these fears will be erased rather quickly, because I think that is what A LOT of people do. We had Shirley send a couple of baskets, one with a few bottles of wine, and the other with cans of Corona. Although they did not sell these cans on the ship, no one gave us a second glance.

Hope that helps you... :goodvibes

I know FOR sure bottled corona is not available at CC. They did have miller lite and MGD in the 16oz plastic bottles. Heinekin was in the can, DCL has a "thing" about glass bottles by pools and at the beach.....

I did remember seeing some O'Douls.....

"Here's a complete list of the beers available onboard:
On tap
* Budweiser
* Miller Lite USD 3.25

22-ounce glass mug can be purchased for USD 9.95.
* Heineken USD 4.00
In cans
* Budweiser
* Bud Lite
* Coors Light
* Ice House
* Miller Genuine Draft
* Miller Lite USD 3.25
* Beck's
* Guinness
* Heineken USD 3.75
In bottles
* Amstell Light
* Bass
* Corona USD 3.75

These are the beers available at most full-service bars. They also serve the draft selections at various stands set up on Decks 9 and 10 during the day.

There is a refillable mug deal where you can get your 22-ounce mug refilled with one of the draft selections for the price of 16-ounces. This a heavy glass mug... I personally wouldn't want to carry it around."

I got the above info from Dave's DCL tribute site. I would also like to know if this is still accurate or if there are other varieties now offered. If one gets the big mug deal, is it only a deal if one drinks Bud or Miller Lite? YUCK!
NO microbrews at all? Not even something on par with Sam Adams?
(anyone experiencing deja vu may find I made this posting some months back but never got a response about the micro or at least "better" beer available question...) May have to BYOB some nice hefeweizen and lemons!

Just want to add one more beer available--Sam Adams is in Diversions on the Wonder. My DH bought the big mug and we went back a couple times for refills. He was psyched to find his favorite beer on board
