Thank you...I am disappointed, would like more real beds when I splurge on accommodations. My DH feels it's really sleeping 4.

I want to experience that fireplace!! I am still going to try to get one, for a trip with 3 adults. Hope one is available in December!!

I'm going to try for one in Feb. The sleeping spaces will work for us.....dh and me in the king, dd and her dh in the queen, and our adult son in the living room. And he won't have to sleep on the floor which has happened too many times when he was younger.

Technically, the cabins (and bungalows @ PVB) are 2-bedroom villas which is why there are only 2 real beds.

Technically, there are lots of two bedroom villas with three real beds. Any dedicated two bedroom villa and these are pretty dedicated. Or any OKW two bedroom villa. They just made the rooms really small like the bungalows. So lots of convertible beds. At least you aren't stuck with two murphy beds.

We generally only book dedicated 2 bedrooms when we need 2 bedrooms, because of the bed situation. Certainly, these qualify as dedicated, oh well. DVC is not perfect, but it does work for us, or we do what we can to make it work.

BTW, the murphy bed is in the 2nd bedroom, and the pullout couch and pullout chair in the living room for the cabin.

We have a 2BR booked at the VGF (1st time staying there) in October and am considering switching to the cabins. They just look soooo cool and the hot tub would be awesome. I've never stayed at the Grand Floridian (in my 20+ WDW trips) and am having a hard time deciding if I want to switch. Guess having these 1st world problems are tough :)

I'd keep the GFV since they are so hard to book. Unless you own there and can get them easily.

Now that you mention hot tubs, you would think that maintaining 25 hot tubs could be a cleaning and maintenance nightmare. Do they drain them after each guest, who checks bacteria levels?

I'd think it would be no different than maintaining the pool hot tubs. Chemicals to kill bacteria etc. Never heard of draining hot tubs after each guest?

I wonder when we wil be able to book ( non CCV owners ) excited to try this. I find that this is a good time to try and get it. You could get the Grand before it sold out.

If I didn't worry so much over securing our BWV res in Sept. I would consider switching when they open it up too. But it's for F&W so I should probably just stay put. RIGHT?!

I concur....makes no sense why 2 queens were not put in. There is plenty of seating in the living or dining room or on the patio. If there is a second bedroom make it like the other dedicated 2br. This makes it a deal breaker for us and we wanted to like them!

It's a square footage thing. DVC wants to reduce the sf in new villas so they can make more money. If they can't rent out those cabins by splitting them, they squeeze in more convertible beds.
