What kind of bed did you sleep in when you were a kid?

I had a twin canopy bed that was originally my mothers when she was a kid. Then I preceded to swing on the poles and broke it  (I was a dumb kid) so I got a twin day bed.

Didn't they slide apart? :teeth:

Sometimes. :teeth: We would try to put a bigger sheet on them to keep them together. Ahhh the things you do when you're first in love!!

Twin bed until my early 20s, full bed for a little while after that. King now that I'm married. My cousins kids (ages 6-12) all have queen size beds - I wonder how they're going to do in a twin bed inside a 10x10 dorm room one day.

Twin size. One bed has drawers underneath, and my current twin is a daybed. I'd love to get a new one-perhaps a waterbed.

Full sized canopy bed. My Mom has it in her house now, in a room that she's decorated just for my 4yo dd! princess: My dd thinks it's a great room and is always wanting her friends to go spend the night at Mimi's with her! ;)

We now have a king bed and can not sleep in anything smaller! I guess we're just bed hogs!

Four poster full size bed with frilly canopy. I loved that bed.

I think I got my "big girl bed" when I was three. A twin bed w/ a nice wood frame to it. When I go home to visit my parents I STILL SLEEP in that bed!! :rotfl: I'm 23 now!! They never replaced the mattress because they didn't believe on wasting the money when they didn't think I needed a new one (these are the same people who didn't get a new bed until their bed frame actually FELL APART in the middle of the night :rotfl2: ). I bought an egg crate pad last year when I couldn't take feeling the springs anymore.

I'm actually kind of glad I never got a queen or a full as I got older. Once I went to college I was the only one not b*tching about having a twin bed! I actually liked it... it was longer than I was used to :rotfl:

I got a queen once I graduated from college and moved into an apartment for graduate school. :teeth:

First I had a captains princess bed, and then when I was 13 I got a queen. Now as an adult SO and I have a queen, although I can't wait to get a king because a queen is not big enough. We both had queens growing up are aren't used to sharing our sleeping space.
