What is your stock-up price on these items?

When I make a whole chicken, I just wash it out thoroughly, put 1/2 an onion and a few peeled garlic cloves in the cavity, then put 2 peeled garlic cloves under the skin in each breast (spread the cloves apart) with a pat of cold butter in between so the garlic roasts and flavors the meat. Then just salt and pepper the outside and bake.

Well... I was right. No more chickens when I went back yesterday. There were a few pieces of beef in the clearance freezer, but they were cuts I've never prepared before and I (at the time) knew there was no where in the freezer for it. I've since made room and plan to use up more things so that I can stock up on things when I see it available at a decent price. I also found deoderant (for DH) for a decent price but was overwhelmed with the choices and had no idea what he'd choose so I ended up walking away. :sad2:

I also was quite disappointed in the toilet paper aisle. I have $1 off coupons that I'd been holding on to in the hopes that it would go onsale but this was the last grocery shopping trip before they expire... and I NEEDED toilet paper. That brand not only wasn't on sale... it WENT UP by $2 a package! I was livid with myself. Ugh... At least it was still only $.49 cents a roll! I only used one of the coupons though... I used the other for napkins... making them only $1 for a huge package. I normally wouldn't have- we just use cloth napkins most of thetime, but we've had a lot of company lately and parties that needed paper napkins, so I went ahead and spent the dollar... I figure I probably saved $2 by buying them now than if I'd waited.
