What is your rate for car rental in September?

Right now I have alamo booked for a compact from Sept 17-20th for 54.94 I used walmart id #430710 rate code BY and coupon DZ1B for $15 off from the Entertainment book. What does everyone else have?

That a great rate! I have $240. for a midsize suv(equniox) for 9/3 to 9/12 but I am still checking into dollar because I am kind of weary of using almo after some of the things that have been said about them.

I have a rate of $198.00 for a Mid Size Suv Equinox Aug 30-Sept 5th with National. Used the Entertainment Code of 5000662 and Coupon of 10009508. Let me say I booked this rate a few weeks ago, rates went back up since then. Still looking for an even better rate I hope...

Alamo pick up MCO Sept 14-20 (7 days + 6hrs)
midsize w/ bjs coupon $154

National pick up at Dolphin Sept. 14-17 (4 days)
midsize w/ bjs coupon $63.

I have National Emerald Aisle booked for 9/9-9/16 using WalMart code and Ent $20 coupon for a total of $181.86 all included. I tried the same codes yesterday and the price was closer to $300. I'll keep trying with different codes to see if anything comes up better.

And the AMEX code, which is usually better, is actually a few dollars more than mine. I booked this ressie back in April.

I am still on the hunt for better but we have National booked: 9/9 - 9/18, fullsize Emerald Reserve, for $222. That is using the Amex code and National's $20 coupon.

ETA: I've got it down to $183 now with Amex code and the double upgrade coupon. Also changed dates to 9/16 to 9/24

$126 ($92 + taxes) from Thrifty for a Compact (Dodge Neon) on Sept 26 - Oct 3. Coupon code SAMS. This will end up going down a few dollars I suspect.

Last time I booked with Thrifty @ MCO (Oct 05), I initally booked this same car for me and my wife. Prices dropped a few weeks before our trip and the Mid-Size (Dodge Stratus) was only $3 more, so I went with that. When we arrived, they upgraded us to a Chrysler 300. Sweet!

I went with Alamo last trip in May. Won't go back. Long check-in line and it took forever to return.

Have always had great luck with Thrifty. Shuttle ride is quick as is checkout and checkin. I doubt I'll go anywhere else now.

I was just playing around and tried the AmEx code for National. My goodness - no wonder people use this code. I finally saw a discount for September rates. Too bad I don't have a card - might be worth getting one, but don't need another credit card.

Ok, I just got a quote from National at Dolphin for one day! $57.54 and you folks are getting 4 days for under $65.


Someone help me please! I need a car to drive for about 10 hours. From WDW to Delray and back with my DD. That is all. I have an amex, what can I do? It has to be from the Dolphin as we will already be there.

This was booked back in Feb or March, and seems to be the best deal so far. It is through Costco. I will keep checking as we get closer to the date, as we could settle for a full size if the price was less.
