We will be there in August and were thinking of maybe getting the Frozen Summer Fun Package. If it becomes available that is. It will be just my 12 year old granddaughter and myself going. We both really like Frozen.
Was it worth it ? What are your thoughts or opinions on the package ?

The previous Summer Fun package had prime viewing for the parade and fireworks, along with snacks. From what I read, it's mostly worth it if you guys want to eat and drink something before/just after you watch either show. Otherwise, lining up about an hour before each one can afford a similar view. That being said, fireworks at HS can only be viewed properly from certain locations. Now that the hat is gone, you might be able to see the stage show along with the bulk of the fireworks (it used to be one or the other because the hat obscured the view).

So I guess the things you should figure for yourself are:
1) Do I want cold snacks in the morning, and dessert at night?
2) How badly do I want prime viewing for fireworks?

Prime viewing without fighting crowds would be really nice. Where do they have you stand for the parade and fireworks ?

I had it booked for our trip last August and ended up canceling it. I really couldn't justify the price because especially since neither my husband nor I drink. We ended up doing everything on our own and we enjoyed it just as much (I think!). Some people really enjoyed the package though, so it's really up to the person, that is just what we ended up doing. Good luck deciding!

We did the package last summer. It was a frivolous expense, not worth the money probably, but we had a good time doing it anyway. We are back this coming August but not planning on booking the premium package. So if money is no object for you I'd say go ahead, otherwise you can do all the events without it. Its some food and some premium positioning essentially. Tables with seats at the dessert party might sell me a second time on it.

Thanks you two for the information. Yes I did see a picture of the dessert party and everyone was standing. They should have seats, I mean if they have tables why not have seats ? Where is the dessert party at ? Is there fastpasses for any of the things included in the package?

We did the package last year and thought it was great, but my youngest has special needs. I like having a less crowded area for us to stand in for the processional and fireworks. My daughter wore her Anna dress and was chosen to walk in the parade with Anna & Elsa! Now, would they have chosen her if we weren't in the special reserved section? I have no idea. They ran out of desserts for the fireworks so we missed out on that. :(

Did like being right up front for the Frozen sing a long! The first 4 rows were reserved for package holders.

We are going again this August. I'd likely buy the package for myself and my daughter. Not for our entire family of 7.

I don't know how it will work with the sing a long. There were no FP for the sing a long last year. It was guaranteed with the package and first-come first-served stand by without the package.

One would think they would have seats. :) But they didn't last year, not sure about this year. The Illuminations dessert party at Epcot also doesn't have seats, so it's definitely something Disney does sometimes.

You can get a FP for the Frozen Singalong. Very cute show!

For the little morning parade, you can find a spot without the package. Even last minute, we sat on the steps of the American Idol building and it was nice. We even grabbed some Mickey bars to eat. It's not a very long parade anyway. Ten minutes at most? We got lots of waves from the characters.

Ditto for the fireworks, there are good spots without the package.

Hope this helps!

We had FP for the sing a long in September. We were right behind the people that had bought the package, we were in row 6.

We scheduled the package and then cancelled. We ended up getting the paper tickets they were handing out last year for the sing-a-long. They have FP+ now, so that part of the package is completely useless IMHO. We saw the parade just fine and, in the evening, we bought some drinks at Min and Bill's Dockside Diner and grabbed a table. We had a side view of the stage, views of two of the screens and a great view of the fireworks, plus a place to sit!

We did the package last year. I agree with the previous poster who said that it was a frivolous expense that we probably wouldn't do again. They actually had two price points last year...the original price point for the package that ran through the actual summer, and then when they extended FSF past Labor Day, they also increased the price. At the original price I thought it was expensive but marginally justifiable, but when they increased the price, I no longer saw the value in the package. I should also add that because our son is scared of fireworks, instead of staying in the dessert party area, we made our way down toward the entrance and found a perfect viewing area just 20 minutes or so before the show. It was nice getting "free" refreshments for the parade, but we could have bought the exact same items for far less money. Because the premium parade viewing area isn't that big, getting the package wasn't a big time saver because people were staking out spots inside the premium area an hour before the parade. The adult beverages during the dessert party were yummy, but very few people can drink enough frou-frou drinks to make up for the package expense. The desserts during the dessert party were beautiful, but they didn't really taste that great. They were definitely premade and then frozen and thawed for the party. We have two small kids and told them they could have as much as they wanted, and each of them tried two small desserts and didn't really like either of them.

My two cents on why there are not seats in the premium dessert party is simply that a) they cannot add seats without really cluttering the already tight area allotted for it and b) they really want to maximize guest count and profitability which is why no seats and wall to wall people rules the day. For the price less people comfortably seated would be appropriate.

Thanks all :) What area do they have the dessert party at HS ?
We did the package last year. The desserts were served in the Disney Junior space.

I really enjoyed the package. We slept in and got there right before the parade. The whole main street was packed with people. We walked around back and got a great spot to watch the parade and show with a frozen lemonade.

The dessert party is outside in the area in front of the stage. When it is raining, the dessert party moves to the Disney Jr. building. From there you can then decide if you want to go out and watch the fireworks.

What time did you go to get a table ?
