What is your opinion of visiting Walt Disney World in the summer?

Having only been twice, both times in the summer, I don't have anything to compare but I sure do love being there. It's so nice being in the parks in the evening when it is warm yet not unbearable. I think having the lights on and enjoying the rides when it is cooler is a totally different experience. I can't imagine going in the winter when the parks close early. Just doesn't seem right to me!

Someone I know showed me their pictures of WDW in Feb. and I felt sorry for them. They looked cold and bored. WDW is a party in the summer! I love getting up early to avoid the crowds. I love my afternoon swims and naps in the AC. I love eating dinner knowing I have HOURS left in the parks.

Heat and crowds? Bring it on! I'm a Diser and they don't scare me.

Hot, Humid, and Crowded...not for me. I'm a mild weather kinda gal, being from Seattle anything over 80 is miserable

You would have to pay me to go between late May and mid August...and I ain't cheap!

I haven't gone to WDW in the summer as an adult yet. But our DS is hitting elementary school age now. We will just have to work around the crowds and heat with all those summer travel tips. But I am hoping for one trip in Nov. 2007 Thanksgiving week while our DS will only be in 1st grade. But the second week of June it will be for us in the future. WDW is always good place to be. Sometimes I do see vacation photos of gray skies during the Winter months on the board and think that doesn't look fun
