Going in December so some nights will have early park closings and we will be wandering hotels!

We are staying at AKL and love Victoria Falls, so will be there for sure.

Can't stand tiki drinks, so no Trader Sam's.

Otherwise bring on the suggestions! Mostly in Epcot or Magic Kingdom area hotels, but let me know anywhere you like!

The Outer Rim at CR. It's a small unassuming spot but it's original to the resort. There is the Tambu lounge at the Poly which also has an old school vibe. Lounge at Wilderness Lodge is also nice.

I love Tambu but if you’re not a fan of tiki drinks I’d avoid it tbh, the drink menu there is very tiki forward. Enchanted Rose over at the GF is a great spot with some interesting and unique selections.

Two suggestions:

River Roost at PO-Riverside if Bob Jackson is playing piano sing-a-long.

Skyliner Pub Crawl: Banana Cabana @ CBR, Bar Riva @ Riviera, Boardwalk (Jellyrolls and Abacadab-bar.

Your point is well-taken Kylenne. It is a pretty fruity/rum drink haven. I figured OP could take a look at the menu and decide if it was too "Tiki forward"(love that phrase)

I think the Lapu Lapu is one of the best drinks on property, but it is pretty tropical. It is literally served in a hollowed out pineapple. :rotfl2:

Crew's Cup at Yachtsman. Bellevue over at Boardwalk - particularly if nice enough to sit outside on the deck. All attached to restaurants, so not stand-alone resort bars, but the Swan and Dolphin complex have some great options between bluezoo, Il Mulino, Shula's, Amare.

Yes, I either have wine or a smokey/savory cocktail. Maybe with a Mezcal or a bourbon. Sometimes a dirty martini. I don't like sweet drinks.
But I do understand how great the atmosphere is!

I'd have to say Territorial Lounge at WL (does Geyser Point count as a lounge - we like that one too). The charcuterie platter at TL was fab. Also a shout out to Victoria Falls, Abracabar (if that counts as a resort lounge), Bellevue lounge at BWI, Crews Cup Lounge at YC (prime rib sliders & pull apart bread with roasted garlic! and drinks), Outer Rim at CR (no one seems to realize it's there so it's nice and quiet)

We really enjoy Geyser Point (although I’m not much of a drinker except on vacation and even then not much). We love the atmosphere.

The Outer Rim at the CR is good too. I fondly remember when it used to be a restaurant back in the 80’s.

I guess my favorite is Trader Sams but that is more than just a bar so it doesn't really fit this discussion.
Currently my go to is Ale and Compass. It's never crowded.

The one I really miss is The Wave that is now Steakhouse 71 Lounge which I do not care for very much. The old Wave was cool and dark. It was a nice escape from MK and to me was a hidden gem.

You beat me to it! ;) Those 2 are our picks as well, but I nixed Tambu (just like you did) because that's tiki.

We stay at Epcot resorts and like Stir over at Swan Reserve, Belle Vue Lounge, Ale & Compass, and Abracadabar.

This!!! Both the Outer Rim and Tambu. Old school places. Never a wait at Outer Rim and you sit right by the window of Contemporary.
