We all seem to know so much about Disney and spend a lot of time there but what is your favorite part or more specific what is your favorite place to just go and hang for a bit....

Mine would be the upper water garden area in Japan at Epcot. I really enjoy just sitting there and relaxing with my wife and people watching.... Oh and the coffee is pretty good as well.

How about you. When you think of Disney and you want to be there... Where in Disney do you want to be?

Well, Nat there are so many favorite places at WDW to choose from!
Lately, one of our favorite places as been under the dome at the American Adventure listening to the Voices of Liberty or American Vybe. We could spend a whole day there and not grow tired of the music. If you haven't taken the time to listen to these great singers, then make the time, and be sure to sit on the floor under the dome facing to the left of the building. You will not be sorry, except when it's time to get up!

We're not as lucky as some of you...we get to WDW once a year, twice if we're lucky. We have a trip coming up soon!! The first full day that we're there, we head for the bakery on Main Street, first thing in the morning. We love the coffee, pastries, and the looks on peoples' faces as they head down Main Street and see the castle, some for the first time!! We love sitting there and watching their expressions.....

My favorite part of Disney is the handicapped seating area in front of the International Gateway store on the left. I get myself a Fiesta Margarita, maybe the Plato Combinacion and enjoy the show.
when I was there in May-June Richie, his daughter Jacqui, my son Christopher and I saw Illuminations 12 nights in a row. We went to Fantasmic the 13th night and then for the 14th the CM's were questioning us to make sure we were all ok because we missed a night.
I hope they never take away Illuminations, it is my favorite part of Disney. Peggie

Your not in Disney until you walk down Main Street. I love to get there early in the morning and watch the hustle and bustle of everyone getting ready for the day. I love to ride on the down-decker bus and wave to people and pretend that I am in the parade, and after that I jump on the firetruck or any of the other vehicles just to see everyone's happy faces going towards the castle. I could just sit on Main Street all day, everyday.

Main Street - that is my favorite part of Disney.

a small little secret place for shareholders in Disneyland Paris..
It is a private room, turn of the century / Art Deco style furniture and decorations with lovely music, free cofffe, juices and all the goodies from main street bakery for FREE !!!
Second place goes to Mexico at Epcot because of the Fiesta Marguerita and the people watching followed by the english pub at Epcot, too the only place at WDW with a real good pint of Guiness :-))

Warm Florida air with cold drinks in the evening are really teasing ...

Stephan

PS: 3 days to go for my Paris trrrrrrrrip :-))

Italy at Epcot, with a glass of chianti, listening to the classical music..

I love the Rivers of America. When I need an afternoon rest or escape from the lines I grab a Coke and ride the Riverboat. Then there is always Aunt Polly's. For sometime you could get a good bad lunch there, but now it is only icecream. There is a special seat along the river that I claim as my own. It is called the butt burning seat. When I first started going over there it was August the weather was nice and comfy and when you sat down on the vinyl seats you burned your butt. I took a picture of Liberty Square from that seat and have it framed. We don't get much nice weather up here in Maryland so when I look at that picture it is hard to believe it could be so nice out that you burn your butt when you sitdown.

I love this thread and would love to here about everyone else's special places.

I know we have sat in the lobby of both the Animal Kingdom Lodge, and the Wilderness Lodge for hours! Definitely a great place to people-watch, and always something new to discover in the fantastic decor of these resorts.

Since we became DVC members, we have found our trips are less hurried, and we can always make time for a few family park favorites to break up the day:
Magic Kingdom -- We always ride the WEDway (PeopleMover, TTA), and try to catch the Dapper Dans.
MGM -- Any of the street performances.
AK -- Festival of the Lion King, our family's favorite show of all.
Epcot -- UK street performers, Jammitors

Robyn,
I think we traveled with you....HA. You hit just right. Especially the Jamitors...we will walk around for hours just waiting for them to come out.

In addition, it is not complete without sitting through a few sets of Off Kilter.

And of course we need to hang out in the lobby of Wilderness Lodge....Just to re-live our wedding day.

Looking up (or down) Main St. I could sit at either end & people watch for awhile. MK is my favorite place! 27 days to go!

a small little secret place for shareholders in Disneyland Paris..
Where is this place & does it include shareholders of the Walt Disney Co, or just Eurodisney? I won some WDCo shares & would love to visit this special place when I get to DLP (someday)! Thanks!

I think that just being there is great. But if I had to pick an absolute favorite, I would have to agree with Darlene. Just walking on Main Street U.S.A. and looking at the Castle is one of the things about Magic Kingdom that I love. Another is when I'm at the MK at night. If you have never done this, you should try it. The view of the Castle from Splash Mountain is stunning. Everytime I go I always bring my camera so I can take the most beautiful pictures of the Castle from an elevated view. It really takes your breath away.

I would have to say sitting by the fountains at Epcot by pin central. I love to get a frozen capuccino and watch the fountains and people watch. I get to do this a few times since Nat is at pin central a lot pin trading :p

This is an easy one for me because my favorite place is riding Pirates of the Carribean. It is the first thing we always do when we get to WDW, without fail. And when we get to the part where the pirates are on their ship firing at the fortress, we listen for when the head pirate shouts "fire at WILL" and our family shouts
along too, because one of my boys is named Will, and we all get a kick out of it.
One of those "family bonding moments.."
And my fourteen year old's favorite place to be is standing in front of the Beverly Machine. YUCK!!!
